Great food & service! We ordered the Chive Mussels and Sea Bass to share. Mussels were very flavorful, LOVED the curry flavored broth, couldn’t stop dipping the bread in! Seabass was super fresh as well served with Orzo pasta. I will definitely recommend this place and come back again!

zero stars. your phone system is busted. I press 0 to speak to an employee, and it goes nowhere. you have not responded to emails. if I can't verify info regarding dietary needs, I will easily find a restaurant that is more communicative.

Angel, Marak, and O-Shay (in order of appearance) were absolutely amazing. This was my first time exploring and trying new foods/drinks in Savannah, and not only did they do that, but they provided exceptional service and information about everything, and were able to suggest new items to try. Highly recommend (10/10) the scallops.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chive Sea Bar & Lounge, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped in, I was transported into a charming ambiance inspired by the elegance of the 1920s, making it a perfect backdrop for an intimate evening in Savannah’s Historic District.

I started with the refreshing Blood Orange Martini, a masterful blend of Absolut Peach, blood orange, cranberry, and fresh lime—an ideal opening to set the tone for the meal. The Vegetable Spring Rolls were crisp, light, and a wonderful appetizer that teased the flavors to come. The Steamed Clams in a white wine, garlic, lemon, and butter broth were delicious, with the accompanying bread serving as the perfect vessel for soaking up every drop of the rich, flavorful broth.

For the main course, I indulged in the Halibut and Crab. The filet of halibut was beautifully cooked, complemented by the flavorful crab stuffing and served atop a bed of sautéed spinach with a red curry sauce that was a delightful twist, bringing a subtle spice to the dish that elevated each bite.

Bethany, our waitress, truly made the evening unforgettable. She was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating, ensuring that both my guest and I had everything we needed throughout the meal. Her attentiveness and warm demeanor were the cherry on top of an already outstanding dining experience.

I’m such a fan of what Chive brings to our city’s culinary scene and can’t wait to return for another visit.

Absolutely delicious! Tuna Ceviche, Chilean sea bass were fantastic! Very cool and delicious spin on ceviche, I’ve never had it like that. Sea Bass with Risotto was great. Great atmosphere and staff. Can’t wait to go back to try other dishes.

Atmosphere is beautiful!! Food was really good! Only minor problem was waiting for someone to come take our order. We had to ask for help! Other than that we enjoyed our dining experience.

DO NOT EAT HERE if you expect respectful, professional treatment! I would give NO stars if it were an option. We were in town over the weekend for a wedding, visiting Savannah for the first time. This place was highly recommended, so we were excited to go. We had a party of three — my husband, 22-year-old daughter, and me. We tried to make a dinner reservation tonight, a Sunday evening. When my husband phoned, a recording advised that they did not take reservations, as that they are a “first-come, first-served only” restaurant. After we arrived, however, the hostess told us that our wait would be about an hour because they had RESERVATIONS for the several, clearly available tables! When challenged about the no-reservation policy on their phone recording, she told us that they began a new policy of taking reservations TODAY, Sept. 15, 2024, despite the fact that we had attempted to make a reservation just an hour prior. “How did the other patrons make a reservation?”, we wondered. Nevertheless, we agreed to be put on the waiting list. We returned about an hour later. After waiting another 20 mins, we inquired of the same hostess about what was taking our table so long to become available. She said that they were waiting for people who had finished their meals to leave, implying that patrons could tie-up tables indefinitely while others were waiting. We asked to speak to the manager, Will. He gave us the same excuse. When I remarked that allowing patrons to indefinitely occupy tables while others were waiting was poor management, he responded, “People spend hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars to eat here. We’re not just going to put them out.” Highly offended, my husband asked, “Is our money not as good as anyone’s else?” He did not respond. We don’t know if this was racism at play, or just exceedingly inept management, but we left insulted and furious! We ultimately went to Sorry Charlie’s Oyster Bar, where we received excellent service and amazing food! Our server, Christine, took really good care of us. So, don’t waste your time and money on Chives. Walk a few blocks over to Sorry Charlie’s and get the service and treatment you deserve.

Will was SUCH a great waiter & Chive was so accommodating for our bachelorette party of eleven just rolling in without a reservation! 100/10!!!!!!! From bar to dinner. It was my husband's birthday and we were just walking around. Glad we chose to try this amazing restaurant. But you really can't go wrong because she owns probably majority of the restaurants on that street. She understands the assignment of providing great everything for her customers!!

Overall, I would come back. Did I think they had their best night when I went, maybe not. Service was good minus forgetting to tell the kitchen about my meal. Overall the food was very good, however the halibut/crab dinner I think the crab saved the halibut. The steamed clams were delicious
