This place is a great find in Savannah, which isn’t particularly vegan-friendly. They have multiple warm bowls and salads, and you can substitute tofu for the protein in any of them. They also have avocado rolls, cucumber rolls, miso soup, and edamame.
Vegan is not on the menu. We asked about options and she had to check with the kitchen (never a good sign) she came back and told us we could have the seaweed salad, avocado roll and cucumber roll. We got the seaweed salad and cucumber roll. We had the seaweed salad and avocado roll and got out of there pretty fast.
Very easy to veganize things not explicitly marked vegan. The tofu that came in my warm bowl was very flavorful and cooked well. I also got an avocado hand roll with perfectly ripe avocado. Will definitely come back the next time I’m in Savannah!
I love Coco and Moss - they make it super easy to modify anything on the menu to be vegan. Most dishes only contain one animal product (the protein) that you can easily sub out for tofu...done! No hemming and hawing from the waitstaff, they just happily accommodate your needs. I highly recommend the avocado roll (the avocado is perfect and magically creamy!) and any of the hot bowls with tofu as your protein. You just can't go wrong! Had to return to this restaurant 3X in one week! Hands down the best meal in Savannah. Easy tofu substitutions on any entree. Updated from previous review on 2024-12-20
I had gotten the Red Sea! The dish had a variety of vegetables and delicious japense rice. The environment was also very calming after a long walk. Definitely recommend!

I had this picture but didn’t remember what I ordered, not only did the owner let me know what I ordered but he put it on the plate the same way my husband and I had on our first date.. It was a very nice gesture.

We got takeout and very much enjoyed the rice rice baby bowl and edamame side. Unfortunately the cucumber sushi roll we were told was vegan, had salmon in it. Double check your food.

Stopped in for a bite during a trip, and I was blown away! I used to live in Savannah years ago, and I never popped in. Looking back, I wish I had eaten here sooner! Simple dining area, nice atmosphere, delicious food! Our server was so sweet and made sure that we had a great experience. Thank you to our waitress, Ollie! She was delightful.

Cute chic sushi spot. Small space with close tables but still provides a welcoming atmosphere. Food was delicious, and the service from being greeted at the door to the back waiters to our front waiter Ollie we really felt like our business was appreciated. Great choice for sushi night
