Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Good location, a credit to the company name. Our service was excellent as was our food. Our server was a rising star, didn't catch her name. Had just gone through a rough day surgery. Our visit here was the cap of the day.

Green beans have always been great. Not today. Go back to doing them as before please

Ordered the steak and creole shrimp special, but got dried steak and fried shrimp- spoke w/waitress, who said they don’t have a button for the special and she had to ring the wrong one up, but did tell them. She did bring back grilled shrimp, but no creole sauce as advertised. Fried okra was placed on plate under steak and it sucked up any juice steak had making it soggy. When I got bill noticed this dish was $2.00 higher than the special was advertised - definitely not worth half the price, much less $24. Most disappointed in whole experience!

Long wait for a table and not that many tables were occupied. I believe they are always understaffed. Definitely not the restaurant it used to be.

Food was very good but the service was great. Earl, our server was very good, explained what came with, how it was cooked and served and checked back with us several times. He did a great job.

Marshall, the manager, is unapologetically rude. You single handedly lost a 2x a week regular who tips 30%. If he is employed here, I will never return.

Amber was our server and she was absolutely wonderful! Personable, friendly, and upbeat; Amber was quick with drink refills and our wait for food wasn’t long at all. Five stars for Amber!!! Cracker Barrel is lucky to have her!

Had an awful experience all together tonight from the service to the food. Waited for waiter to come take our order for about 10 minutes then when drinks were brought back they were not correct. They were out of a lot of things then once we did place our food order and received it it was also wrong neither of my children’s orders were correct. My husband and my food was cold so it must have set for a while before brought to us because food doesn’t come off the grill cold or at least it shouldn’t! I never received any refills on my drink. The waiter only came back to our table to give us the receipt! I normally do not complain but I spent $66 bucks and food was bad and we just ended up eating what was given to us which wasn’t even what was ordered! I was just ready to leave at this point! Very disappointed

Dumplings were awful. Looking forward to chicken and dumplings but the dumplings were stuck together in wads and balls. Really disappointed

Pitiful food. Service was sloooow. The restaurant wasnt even busy. Biscuits were small flat cornbread was old, tasted weird. My okra was not even hot. Tasted like they used weeks old grease to cook it in. Just pitiful

If I could give zero stars I would. My friends and I were passing through after spending a night in Savannah for the first time. They were undeniably busy this morning as it is Sunday after church. Service was slow, it took the server 15 minutes to come acknowledge us after we sat, just to say he’ll be right back to get our drink orders. That be right back turned into another 10 minutes of waiting and watching him serve everyone around us. He came back sassy and half assed apologetic. He took our drink orders and food orders at the same time, forgot half of our drinks and had an attitude when I asked for a fresh cup of coffee because my boyfriend’s coffee tasted weak. He brought us the bill before bringing out to go boxes that we had to continuously ask for. He acknowledged my boyfriend and our friends with grace and acknowledged me with sass and ignorance. Perhaps because I was the only one from our group speaking up and asking for the items he forgot.

While I was in line waiting to pay for our meal, my boyfriend was walking around the store at all the nostalgic treasures Cracker Barrel is known offer showing our friends. Birgit walks up to him out of no where and asks him if he’s going to pay for it. To which he said “no I’m just showing my friend”. Birgit says, “oh okay” and walks away temporarily before proceeding to follow him all around the store. It’s so said to hear about racial profiling and then to experience it first hand in times where we’re supposed to be for far passed this issue. I paid for our food and left. My boyfriend is so upset and it was really the cherry on top of a great weekend. Birgit, I’m disappointed in you, especially for your age. I’m sorry you worked your whole life at Cracker Barrel and you have nothing else to do besides racially profile young black excellence passing through your city. Do better!
