My girlfriend and I stopped by District Gelato and loved it. The flavors we tried were creamy and fresh, the staff was nice, and you really can’t beat the riverfront view while enjoying your gelato at night. Not sure why others had a bad time — we had a great experience and would happily go back. 🫡🍦🍨
Absolutely delicious with amazing customer service! Such a cute shop with a fun vibe. We took a family of 8 there and the manager took the time to help each child with their decision of what to pick. She gave samples and even helped our daughter with a dairy allergy. It’s not that often you find great customer service nowadays. The pistachio mixed with dark chocolate tasted pretty darn close to the gelato I had in Italy. So so so yummy!
Good ice cream. I wouldn’t call it gelato. The serving sizes are massive which shocked me. The ice cream melts fast too. It’s very airy and not as dense or intense as gelato. I got the pistachio which had a bit of an odd color to it. It wasn’t as flavorful as I had hoped. My spouse got the Nutella and it was better. The service was good though.
Fabiola, Andrea, and the rest of the staff were absolutely lovely, and the gelato was amazing!!! 10/5 stars!!!
Tasty gelato place on a hot day.
Always delish and kid approved.
Service is utterly abysmal, so slow. Good selection of gelatos but only fruit sorbet for vegans.
Delicious and friendly service but it’s more like Ben and Jerry’s not gelato. I live in Rome, Italy - this is not gelato.
Great ice cream 🍦 and good service 👌
First time visiting Savannah looked forward to eating at District
Gelato…. The girl attending the shop needs some customer service etiquette. Such poor personality and customer service

They need to work on their quality control.
2 out of 4 times I’ve visited, they couldn’t offer their full menu (shakes, sundaes, etc.). Another time, when I ordered a sundae, they left off 2 of the elements but I still paid the full price.
Staff is extremely rude here. Gelato was ok.

HORRIBLE service & gross gelato. The other bad reviews don’t surprise me. There were 2 employees when I went in & no other customers (should’ve been a sign). First employee rolled her eyes over THREE TIMES at me, both employees looked at each other & laughed when I asked what was in a certain flavor (what if I had an allergy?) and then scooped the wrong flavor once I ordered. I left. Also, I looked at the gelato and some of it was sitting in a pool of water. The behavior of the employees is unacceptable and it’s been going on for years according to the reviews. At this point, bad management and business. Get new, respectful employees. You’re losing business.

We have tried multiple times to give this place the benefit of the doubt and unfortunately every time we go it is an awful experience. The staff is so incredibly rude all of the time, you feel like you’re inconveniencing them by patronizing their business. The gelato is delicious and they have this massive menu with fancy sundaes and cookie sandwiches… only you can never actually order anything off the menu. The first time was in January and they told us it was off season and they don’t do the sundaes, which ok fair. However, they also couldn’t serve us anything off of the menu in April or May and now June they say they don’t have the supplies and are just focusing on only gelato. It’s sad because obviously the riverside district is such a wonderful area and this business just continues to disappoint time and time again to the point that we are definitely done giving them our money.
