We were sat right away with less than 30% of the restaurant full, and then waited over 45minutes for food that never came. 4 adults and 2 kids, and everything ordered was fried food. We were even told that the kids food and apps were “being plated and on the way out” and we still waited for another 20 minutes. They were under staffed, clearly, but being lied to about the food and expected delays, especially with kids is not acceptable. With how many other places are around there, I do not recommend going here.

What a nightmare. It wasn't busy at all and it took over an hour for us to get our food. My advice is to skip this place.

I popped down to River Street for a pint and a bite and was immediately welcomed by Christine, who offered seating options. I chose a table outside and ordered the catfish lunch platter special.
The catfish arrived hot with a beautiful golden-brown crust and a perfectly flaky interior—exactly how it should be. It was a great lunch and the outdoor seating made for excellent people-watching.
That said, the highlight of the visit was Christine. She’s the kind of genuine person who truly understands hospitality and how to create a memorable experience. We need more Christines in this world.

My partner and I stopped here for a much needed lunch after walking for miles, my first time in Savannah, GA. We were initially greeted by a pleasant server and chose to sit outside, but the service quickly declined. She took our appetizer order and didn’t return for nearly 40 minutes not to check on us or take our entrée order. The restaurant was not busy, with only about two tables being served inside and a few outside which she shared with another server, yet we were left waiting and clearly visible the entire time. When she finally brought the appetizer, we had to ask to place our order and they were out of a few foods. We then waited another 40 minutes for our food despite being told it wouldn’t take long, while noticing our server sitting outside smoking. When our meal finally arrived, we asked for napkins. She returned about 10 minutes later without them, then eventually dropped them on the table without a word.
We waited over an hour and a half to eat and left very disappointed. The food itself was underwhelming, though the poor service likely influenced our experience. The situation even made us question whether something about us prompted the treatment, as we are an interracial couple (he is white, I am Black).
To add to the frustration, she kept $2 from our change saying she didn’t have it, and we still tipped on top of that. While I plan to return to Savannah, I will not return to this restaurant and cannot recommend it.

Party of 4 - seated right away. Excellent, friendly service by Justin W. and fantastic food.
Appetizers: friend green tomatoes and the best hush puppies and honey butter ever!
Main: Savannah salad with blackened shrimp, PoBoy with blackened shrimp (x) and catfish sandwich. All highly recommended- fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection.
And all in Savannah’s oldest building 1792- pretty sure GWashington had a beer there 😉.
$150 = meals and 5 drinks.

Very limiting menu. Don't go if you dont like shrimp. Poor selection of seafood.
Avoid this place! Why do I say this? Well, we had a great bartender, and he really delivered. But I have to say after coming to this place twice it just confirmed my opinion. This place may be a staple on river street but it's nothing more than a watering whole with bad food.

While walking Riverstreet, the family wanted some seafood. This location had a catfish special sign up. But when we went in, the special was over and only for lunch. That was a little misleading.
However our server was nice, and provide us some alternative options. Instead of a fish platter we had fish sandwiches.
The food came out hot, and fairly quickly. No complaints on it. Can't go wrong with fried fish. The fried green tomatoes were good. But the best part with the seafood dip on top! They should sell it separately.
The space is vintage...(old). The bathrooms are cramped and need repairs. If you are tall, watch out for the low ceiling. I just dont understand why restaurants make money but dont update the facility.
Overall, the food was good, customer service was good but the overall look and vibe of the establishment is bad.
I don't think I will be back unless renovations are done.

The service was not good. Our waitress didnt even act like she wanted to be there, never smiled.we waited over 10 mins at the hostess stand to even be greeted to be seated.the food wasnt very good. My husband had a burger, said it wasnt that great. I had shrimp basket, shrimp was okay. The restaurant its self was nice.

Even though they close at 10, at 8:45 pm we were told that they were out of spinach dip and all fried food (which is a lot of the menu), including crab cakes which are not normally deep fried. Seems like the kitchen was just being lazy. It also took forever to get our drinks even though barely anyone was in the restaurant on a Saturday night. What does that tell you?
We ordered 2lb of crawfish to start: some were hot and some stone cold all in the same bowl, almost like some were prepared way ahead of time but some were made fresh. Many of the crawfish had eggs still on them; we have been eating crawfish in GA and LA for 30+ years and have never had eggs be an issue.
We ended up canceling our entrees and leaving because everything was so bad.
