Best place for a bite and drinks in town

Was visiting Savannah to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. While touring the city, walking past the restaurant, I began to feel seriously ill. Luckily there was a chair right in front of The 5 Spot window, so I sat down as I couldn’t walk any further. Next thing I know some of the staff inside saw my husband and came out to check on us. How kind!! They weren’t even open yet, but out of concern for a stranger, they did an ACT OF RAMDOM KINDNESS. The next day I was feeling better and my husband and I made a point to visit to say thank you and had a great meal. The manager was one of the staff who helped me and told us some real interesting history of the building. He actually showed us an old “trap door “ in the hallway floor. I’m writing this review not just because of our delicious meal, but because there are really kind people at this establishment who need to be recognized . It’s important that you customers who visit here know what kind of special people are serving you!!!!!!

A mid afternoon snack stop with the purpose to have fried green tomatoes. Good experience, good food.

Was better as "East End!" But 5 Spot is a real deal. The atmosphere and service are what you'd expect of a pricier restaurant. Happy hour is probably the best deal in town. Menu is good and has been getting better. The secret to this place is the basement; a speak easy vibe available for private events and sometimes small shows available to the public.

We came to Savannah for the weekend and were looking for kid friendly restaurants & hit the jackpot with 5 spot. They had a great kids menu...we have three kids 12, 10, 8 and they all got something they loved. My husband got the meatloaf and i got shrimp and grits ...both meals were amazing. The service was quick and friendly. great food and service for families at a reasonable price. we will definitely be back

We stopped here before a tour to grab bloody Mary's to go. The restaurant/ bar was super cute. The staff was very friendly and made excellent drinks! I can't comment on food, only drinks, but we had a great experience. Reasonably priced too.

I got there 8 pm Thursday afternoon, sit at bar for simple salmon no sandwich.55 minuets latter sandwich shows up with cold fries plus Bacon. Went back to kitchen come back 20 minuets with greasy bread 2.5 oz salmon nothing on it . Fries were sit under heat lamb so long hardly can get bit out of them . Manager said cooked fresh just come out of fryer. 2 hours wait fir bad service, cold blend food no apology just check. My brother broke his teeth other location eating greek flatbread, probably my stomach get pumped from Bs .

I was expecting a pricey wanna be dive bar/restaurant and I was wrong. First off, they have an amazing list of cocktails. And a great list of cocktails for a Fin ($5 for those who don't speak yiddish). The bartender with the tats on his forearms made a kick-ass old-fashion. So good, I had to try 3 of them. I was trying to figure why mine don't taste that good, and I figure it was the 4-5 ounces of bourbon I use. Good cocktails, and a great beer selection. I got the fried fish tacos. I enjoyed them. Good cook on the fish, and the sauce used had just the right amount of heat, and it had the right slaw on top. The only ding? My corn tortilla fell apart towards the end of the taco. The chips and salsa that came with were meh. I had also gotten the fried pickles and they were one of the best pickles I've had. And they serve them by the spears, not slices which is the only way to go! They have great happy hour specials, like 2 for 5 on those $5 cocktails. HELL YES! So stop in. Enjoy the place and have a great time. And I love that bar. I love Savannah in general, especially downtown. You can feel the history in this place...

Really, really good food! Had fried shrimp lunch special and it was wonderful. Plenty of shrimp and really crispy fries. My partners had fish & chips and chicken breast salad, both drew raves. Will be back.

I went to 5 Spot on Broughton for a girls night dinner. It was a cool atmosphere and they had good cocktails! I enjoyed the Lavendar Martini. The service was great and I got the chicken salad which was light enough, but also filling. I would definitely go back again. They also let me change my reservation time to a bit later when we were running behind.

Came during margarita & taco bar crawl. Ran out of tacos 3 hours after it started. Service didn’t exist had to ask to get served. We had to ask to get served. Then we were told no tacos. Um what. Then the drinks were sub-par. Then they bring tacos to our table. Ones they were out of. Then the “manager” seemed surprised that they were out of tacos. Then we waited to order an appetizer. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. (Catching the drift?) so then ok well they don’t want our business, ok we’ll leave. Oh wait we need a bill to pay so we can leave. Waited. Waited. Waited. Waited. Then had to ask the “manager” for our bill so we can pay and freaking leave this hell we’ve entered into. However, they were quick to bring us our bill at least.

Came here for lunch after a tour. It was okay. The wings were on point and the honey voodoo is delicious. The fried green tomato blt is underwhelming. Three slices of fried green tomato and 2 disappointing slices of bacon.

Macy, was our server. She was attentive, fun, and professional. Our food was amazing from the appetizer to the main meal. I was very pleased with everything and will definitely revisit.

3.5. Super meh! I love the look of this place, it’s beautiful inside, and the bartender told us a bit of history about the place and it’s restoration to original condition. I had three cocktails and they were AMAZING, original, and made well. Harley was a great bartender and super personable. The rest of the staff for the most part were having awkward side conversations about guests, seemed disorganized, and someone who was seemingly a manager was being very cold in all interactions. Guests shouldn’t be hearing about drama and your judgements of your patrons. Disappointing. I’d go back for Harley and the drinks though.
