This place is amazing…all of it! The ambience is fantastic! The service is first rate and the food…perfection! If you want a perfect day out…include Gryphon in your itinerary! We easily found street parking. Our server included the history of the building which was really cool and when they brought the check it was in a book we could write in. There are a lot of special touches here.
I recently visited Gryphon in Savannah, and I have to say it's a must-visit spot. The restaurant is nestled inside a charming old pharmacy building and boasts the distinction of housing the city's first clock. Its location is perfect if you're planning to visit the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). One unique aspect of the service is that all the servers are current SCAD students, which adds to the vibrant atmosphere of the place. Remember to tip them well...
This is my favorite restaurant in Savannah. I love that it looks like a tea room in a library since it combines 2 of my favorite things! The shrimp and grits were great, the earl grey tea and the tropical green tea were lovely, and the tea sweets were cute and delicious! Highly recommend, see it for yourself!
