HEIWAS is such a nice little spot with real mom and pop vibes. The owners are super kind and always genuinely happy to see everyone coming in. The service is consistently great and you can tell they truly care about their customers.
The food is amazing every time. I’ve ordered takeout a few times and it’s always fresh and delicious. The chefs clearly care about what they’re serving and it really shows in the quality.
I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for good Japanese and Chinese food. I’ll keep coming back.

The owner and his wife have kept this restaurant going for several years. The ingredients/recipes are nearly exact to Hiranos, which is where Don (owner) started his journey in the restaurant business.
His menu is much more extensive, and the food is excellent.

I wanted a simple shrimp tempura roll, and honestly it was a waste of money ordering here. I should of went to Publix. It was so tasteless. Giving it a 2 bc they were nice, but the food deserves a 1. NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES ?

Typical sushi place in Savannah everything is cooked / BUT the SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE asked for extra napkins bc I had a 3 yr old with me she brings 2 little ones and I asked for chopsticks and more wasabi and she went off doing paper worked and milled around b4 she finally brought them. I’m an excellent tipper but I’m to the point I’m NOT tipping for poor service

This was my first time at Heiwas and it was a great little place to eat. The staff was polite and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the gyosa and the chicken noodle stir fry and both were very tasty.
