The original owner, Hirano's, has gone back to Japan and sold his businesses. Fortunately, the Abercorn location was the only store to inherit his precise recipes, consistency in flavor and service. Hirano had the bar raised pretty high for over 20 years.I prefer the Hirano's at the Abercorn location across from Armstrong State University. Their flavors, sauces and food are NOT watered down!Did I mention service? The restaurant has about 10 tables with various seating arrangements, plus bar seating in front the chef. Service is fast, so please don't be a table-hog. If you see more people coming inside, please release your table and continue socializing outside -- time moves fast when you are trying to enjoy a lunch break.Best Ginger dressing, shrimp sauce, gyoza sauce......well, everything. Over 30 years of loyal patronage and I have not experienced incorrect orders, poorly cooked food or watered down seasonings or sauces. Only AT THE ABERCORN LOCATION ACROSS FROM ARMSTRONG :-)PS - for tourists, ABERCORN is pronounced AB-er-CORN.

Walked in at 1:45. Was going to place a Togo order because we knew they closing soon, when we walked in they told us they were closed. I politely said I thought you didn’t close until 2 and she said it is 2. I was trying to explain to her it wasn’t 2 yet we only wanted a Togo order and she said oh well. We won’t be back. The staff is always rude.

This thing is not the real Hirano's.It has a totally different menu, no eel bowl or sashimi bowl. Only a lot of Chinese made fake Japanese fried rice, teriyaki stuff. If you want Americanized so-called "Japanese food" then come here. If you want real stuff go to the real Hirano's.

Korean spicy pork is my favorite.Salads crisp on cold dish. Fried gyoza is the best
Good food, great service, quick, reasonably priced. My wife and I have been eating there for many years. The owners are very nice.

Always great! Stop in here almost weekly for lunch. Fantastic little "hole in the wall" restraunt. Most often I tend to get their lunch bowls, gyoza, egg rolls, and various sushi rolls. Never had anything I didn't enjoy though!
The ginger dressing is the bomb!

My family loves Hiranos. I am thankful to have a nice restaurant with reasonable prices. I usually get the Fish with vegetables, and sushi a lot of time. I normally ask for no onions and they accommodate me. If you want something fast and easy you should give it a try. They also have take out but I prefer to dine in.

Visited for the first time with some friends and food was good, they were out of most of what we wanted to order but what we did end up with was decent for the price!
