The Hitch in Savannah is a great hangout, with refreshing signature cocktails, friendly and helpful staff, and upbeat atmosphere. The food menu offers interesting food combinations at a solid price. The Avocado Fries are excellent. The Fish & Chips was average and the sides lack a bit of temperature. My personal score 4.5.

We went here to dine after the jeezy concert. At 11:20 when we walked in the host informed us it would be a 30 minute wait. I checked back in with her at 11:55 and she said it would only be a minute. At 12:10 I overheard her say to another party that were no longer seating. Once I inquired about whether she meant the people on the waitlist as well she then shrugs and says yes we close at 1 so we’re stopping seating. I remind her that we’ve been waiting to sit for nearly an hour at this point and she says she’s sorry but she can’t sit us. When I ask why she couldn’t inform us of this an hour ago she shrugs and she just deadpans. When I ask the speak to the manager on duty she does the same thing. I completely understand being understaffed but to be rude and uncommunicative to paying guest is ridiculous.

Our server Taylor was amazing! So sweet and kind. I did not love my drink and she offered to have it remade or change to another with no questions asked. We made it a point to come back and visit this trip and will always make a point to keep coming back every time we are in town!

Great place to grab a bit to eat. Food was delicious. Service was great. Had the fried green tomatoes- great flare from a traditional, seasoned to perfection topped with a aioli sauce. I also had a Mojito—- best ever had! And I had the shrimp and grit taco- OMG it was so good.
