Went to a ladies night event last night and the security guard Pookie was overzeoul7s about his job. He had bo respect for me cursed me out and literally was arguing me down like I had done something to him. and then when I told management he lied and said all he did was check my purse. Please be careful going to places like this no one seemed to care that a man who is supposed to be there to protect was arguing and getting confrontational with a patron which was unprovoked. I am putting this here because I will be filing a claim for harassment.

I bought a large oxtail dinner last week. In the last year I may have frequent this establishment approximately three or four times for this same dish. The food tastes good, but when you bite into the oxtails they are thick & cold in the middle each time I visited. I decided to give them another try from my last experience when I visited; but it was still the same. It appears they pre-cook their oxtails then warm them up in the microwave per order. If this is not the case, I would love to know why they are serving food that appears to be hot, only to bite into thick cold meat for $25 a plate. I'm disgusted! I'm currently looking for another Jamaican restaurant.

Top tier restaurant for Jamaican food. Truly authentic. Some of the specialty items are cooked to order such as the stew shrimp, but if you're like me I don't mind waiting for fresh food. Island Breeze can be difficult to find if you're not familiar with the area. Located on Montgomery Street next door to BoBo's seafood and across the street from an auto body shop. The customer service is good but as a native New Yorker I expect a little attitude from all Carribean restaurants, that's how I know the food is going to be amazing. Haha. I don't get attitude from anyone here but I've called in orders before and the person has definitely been short with me. Again, not a negative because the food is bomb. The inside is small so not made for a crowd. I tend to order my food and then wait in my car or order ahead so the food is ready when I arrive. It gets very busy in there especially at lunch time and if you're like me and always want a patty, make sure to double check because they sell out quickly.

Great food! worth the drive and great service we always order the extra fish fish. We drive about 45 minutes to get to it on Thursdays because that's when they have the Thursday specials and it's worth the drive the best Caribbean food in i.e..

We were visiting from out of town and Googled caribbean restaurant, this location popped up and we decided to try them based off the reviews. I saw they had turkey wings, so I purchased because I wanted to taste them. The turkey wings is only one turkey wing chopped into 3 pieces with the wing tip. I had mostly fat. The brown stew chicken gravy was extremely oily. I didn’t even use it. The cabbage were good and the rice was okay. I did try the BBQ chicken it was tasty. Overall, on my next visit I might give them another try.Lawyer G.

Food could have cooked a little bit longer, especially the goat. Beef patties are amazing! Cake is dry....

a couple of years ago... this was the best food i'd ever tasted... i took an internet friend fron kansas and his girl that were touristing savannah there... they walked in and being white folks... they were clearly concerned by their surroundings... island breeze is definitely not upscale... and not in the best neighborhood... lol... but when they got the food... forgot all about being in the hood... they were licking the plates... i don't even eat beef... but i was hooked on their oxtails... they were addicting... but sometime in the last year or two... they changed cooks... now the oxtails are good... but not otherwordly mouth watering like they used to be... but they're still probably the best in town... the peas and rice that accompany the oxtails are still delicious...

Excellent food, price is high, just like any other Caribbean restaurant. It's not in the best area, but it's worth it.
