I like this place but am a bit salty after tonight's experience. Waited 20 minutes to get a drink at the bar and then the older bartender literally chewed me out for ordering 2 long islands. I only ordered those because I didn't want to have to wait 20 minutes for my next drink. So I got the 2 of the strongest routine cocktails you can get. As a former bartender I did that to cut down on the number of people they had to repeat serve. Also have never been told "you better hook me up on the tip for this". I get it's the islands but still..... I did hook her up with a 40% tip but that was only in case I wanted another drink without the hassle.

Thank you so much for the outside service!! Inside service at 5:30 was not only slow but extremely RUDE!!! I stood for over 30 mins for a drink but while waiting I NEVER saw ONE drink rang in! I can't imagine the money lost there tonight with their service and attitude! Never again!!!!

Micro Wrestling was cool

Short visit while waiting on my Chinese Comida. Ashley's alright in my book, and the folks were just good old plain old American folk. Don't come to be impressed, come to sit back for a while.

A sleeping elderly person shushed me. That’s the vibe here. Place is AN ABSOLUTE MESS. Not sure if anyone has ever cleaned? Hire someone to do it if you don’t want to. But it’s gross

This establishment allowed a serviceman with a disability to be physically assaulted. Then blamed him for the incident and banned him from their bar. The police were involved, and a military veteran was the only person, besides the police, who were willing and/or able to help him. The disabled man was already suffering from PTSD and had been going to the establishment for over 10 years. This bar is not what it seems to be, and has wronged the entire Wilmington Island and Savannah community on several occasions. The manager, Pete, will often fake an Irish accent. Stay away and be careful when around this place.Anyone is always welcome to file for a release of information with Chatham County...In my honest opinion, I do not think the owner is aware of any of this. And I know for certain that she genuinely cares about the community and her patrons.

Hands down the best bar on the Island!

You don’t choose IDaq, IDaq chooses you. It’s the best place on the island and my favorite place in all of Savannah. If the culture of the show Cheers was a divey sports bar, this would be the place. It’s not flashy, but it’s got that warm, old school, hometown feel that most aspire to find.

So... kinda iffy when you walk in (some of us were Spanish.) But it turned out everyone was nice and I love the whole backyard concept with the games and etc. It would be cool if there stage was angled so could be enjoyed indoors or outdoors. But this is a VERY laid back local kind of place so it may not be everyone's margaritaville. But lots to do if you don't dance.
