Had a very good breakfast. We had a fig and goat cheese omelet and goat cheese omelet. The service was good, it was a bit loud right after church, but not terrible. Do not use the public (Private) parking across the street is $18 for the minimum of two hours. Parking was difficult.
The food here was very disappointing! I ordered pancakes. It's hard to mess up pancakes but they were terrible. I had to force myself to eat half my plate. The breakfast potatoes were also very dry and bland. Waitress never asked how the food was. What a waste of money!
Stopped here for brunch while in the area, friendly staff, large menu, outside seating, our food was amazing, I got the eggs Beni and my husband got the Billy goat omelette. Would recommend if in the area!
Really enjoyed the quality of food with nice options. The biscuit and gravy were very good! We thought this place should be a top 5 location for breakfast. We went back twice due quality and location to our AirBNB.
Our waiter was great. The sausage skillet and blueberry pancakes were great too!
Our 1st visit to J Christopher’s did not disappoint! We will be back! We were greeted warmly and quickly with no wait. ( A welcomed change from the Hyatt staff we just left this am). The menu is extensive with something to satisfy everyone! I had the Eggs Benedict and Breakfast Potatoes. I’m quite a snob about my Hollandaise, and this was perfection. I took the pic after I peppered it! The potatoes were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. My hubby had the sausage & egg platter with a side of blueberry crunch pancakes. All scrumptious and good portions. The grits were nice and creamy, not grainy. Needless to say we had to get a box. We ordered some cinnamon rolls to go. Haven’t tried them yet, but they were warm and smell incredible! Our server was Allyson. She was a bright and cheery young lady. She was so attentive, but not hovering. She kept our coffee refilled and was so pleasant. It’s great to get good customer service in this city. Try this place! It’s a gem!

Waited 20 minutes for an open table then had to wait 45 minutes after ordering to get our food served. The food was good.

Didn't even get to go here to eat because the rude hostess at the door wouldn't even let me in to the door to let me put my name on the list. Came to this establishment because my husband looked it up for breakfast. I get your stressed because of the hurricane and getting power back on but don't be rude to me not only once but twice. Will be telling all who ask me do not go to this establishment to eat very rude staff. May have delicious good food but I wouldn't know because of the way the old run down looking brunette with glasses talk to me today. What a joke she is, do better lady learn how to communicate with a sign that says wait outside please to be seated. Not hard to do.

Coffee was ok, nothing special. Suggest offering flavored creamers. Orange juice is plain old OJ. Chorizo Omelette has very little Chorizo in it. Banana walnut French Toast is A+, pancakes, breakfast potatoes and bacon are all good. Service was great! Old building with nostalgic feel. Restrooms were clean. Lots to look at, very pleasant. Outdoor seating is great for Fall weather!
Parking: Avoid the hassle. There is a paid parking lot directly across from restaurant. Pay the $12 for two hours and avoid the hassles and stress driving around on one-way streets to find a free spot.

We spend every Sunday brunching in Savannah, yet we’ve never visited J. Christopher’s, today we did! We sat outside, which we love to do. Service was mediocre at best, our server spilled coffee all over our table each time she refilled our cups and nearly knocked my phone out of my hand at one point. She was definitely not graceful.
I ordered the Route 66 skillet. I was incredibly disappointed to see #10 can Shoney’s buffet style corned beef used. How disgraceful to serve that in Savannah, why would you serve canned corned beef hash over potatoes?! Seems silly.
Honestly if you don’t make your corned beef, just removed it from your menu.
My son and husband order the Big Chickin, they loved it.

The menu is interesting, and there’s a lot of choices that are different, but they all come in a sizzling skillet and taste great.
