I experienced Late Air last night with my bestie, and from the moment we walked in, the experience was nothing short of delightful. We were greeted warmly at the door, setting the tone for the evening. The intimate lighting created the perfect ambiance—cozy, inviting, and ideal for unwinding.
The bartender and waitress were both attentive and personable without being intrusive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The raw oysters were to die for—fresh, perfectly chilled, and bursting with flavor. Paired with a glass of red wine, it was absolute perfection.
Dinner did not disappoint. The fresh local chicken was seasoned and prepared beautifully, and the bread was warm and comforting—simple, yet done right. To top it all off, we were treated to a complimentary two scoops of ice cream, a thoughtful and sweet ending to an already wonderful night.
Overall, Late Air delivered great food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be revisiting.

We went to Late Air on our trip to Savannah last month and really enjoyed the experience. We got some small bites (I particularly liked the Caesar salad) and wine. Our server did a great job of explaining the wines. We were convinced to order desserts after hearing the selection and I'm so glad we did! Definitely the best dessert we had on our trip. The chocolate mousse was phenomenal.

This is the best restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time. The food was not only very delicious: it was specifically contextualized in low country technique and terroir, and had its own confident perspective on Savannah’s rich culinary culture. The mushroom rice was the kind of comfort food that felt like a hug—no trace of chef’s ego, really felt like a dish designed purely for the pleasure of the diner, and as a result, something I will crave after every rough or rainy day—but also so technically perfect and nuanced that my family and I couldn’t stop talking about it for days after our visit. The team on the floor the night we went were genuinely committed to ensuring that their guests had an amazing experience, in the kindest, most sincere way. Just as the food offered a specific perspective on low country cuisine, the service felt like a fresh, authentic take on “Southern Hospitality”—never cloying, a lot of fun, and totally down to earth. I often feel like service takes itself too seriously and makes a dining experience feel precious. Late Air is a rare example of a restaurant serving food that earns its front of house the right to be a little high minded—but I’m so glad they are not. Oh, and also the wine was great!

There are so many great restaurants in Savannah and we enjoyed our visits to Brochus, The Wyld, and The Grey but Late Air stood out as an experience that defined Savannah for us.

Our new favorite spot in savannah. The food was really incredible. Highlights were the zucchini and the NY strip. The space was perfect and service couldn’t have been better.
