Our group had one of the worst dining experiences imaginable. It took a total of three hours to receive our food, and even then, dishes came out at completely different times. Several items we ordered never arrived at all — despite repeatedly asking the staff.
To make matters worse, the manager not only charged us for food we never received, but also refused to come out and discuss the bill when we asked to speak with them. Other employees informed us that the manager was “hiding” in the back, leaving another server to make partial corrections while avoiding accountability.
Considering that our event organizer placed a $1,000 deposit for what we expected to be a quality dining experience, the lack of professionalism, organization, and basic courtesy was beyond disappointing.
Absolutely unacceptable service from start to finish. I would strongly caution anyone considering this restaurant for a group event or special occasion.

Great experience. This was me and my wife’s first time and could not be happier. The food was great (both ordered the NY strip). Our waitress very nice and attentive. And the location is right in the heart of Savannah. We I tend on coming back again to try other dishes. Highly recommend for a night out.

Madame Butterfly was a wonderful experience, with delicious food and incredible service. It was our first time trying kbbq and Madame Butterfly came highly recommended by friends. The food was very tasty, some of the favorites were the ribeye, Brussels sprouts and crab rangoons. Our server, Mambi, was wonderful and gave great recommendations and was very attentive.

For the price (~60 per person), the food quality and presentation were not what we expected. However, as has been the case across Savannah, the service was great. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our water was never empty.
The best item on the menu was the Steak and Stew, which consisted of Filet Mignon in beef broth with carrot, peanuts, potato, sweet onion, choice of rice or grilled house bread. Get the house bread. The Madame Bang Shrimp was on point. The Scallops and the Gangnam Noodles were a big let down.

I love, madame butterfly. The appetizers are amazing. I feel like they’re better than the main course. Three of their dishes had cinnamon in it, so brace yourself, but overall the noodles, 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Food was fantastic, filet mignon soft and perfectly cooked. Filet stew was huge and delicious. Served Olivia awesome and bartender Abby poured a perfect martini. Great ambience. 5 stars all around.

I would say don’t drink much because you’ll need to trek down two flights of stairs to the bathroom, but no worry, the server never came back to offer more water or another drink. A rare steak took three attempts while everyone else had finished their food. A group of 9 was sat at a table with no access at one end, so if one person needed to get out, everyone had to slide down the bench. Elevator was out of service. Asked twice to speak with a manager and was ignored. Third request got the bartender up who clearly had no idea what was happening. One star is too much but 0 stars is not an option.

Consider yourself warned—this place is not what it used to be. I was told the elevator wasn’t working, only to watch other guests use it right in front of me. On top of that, I had a large amount of reward dollars saved up and wasn’t allowed to use them because the server didn’t know how. For a restaurant that markets itself as polished and professional, these kinds of issues are unacceptable. Don’t expect the five-star experience I originally had—it’s gone downhill.
