Oak 36 Bar + Kitchen is a great option when you want something modern and relaxed without heading downtown. The vibe is stylish yet comfortable — perfect for a casual happy hour or an easy dinner with friends.
We stopped in for happy hour and were impressed with the quality and value. The wood-fired meatballs were absolutely delicious, served with crusty bread for dipping, and paired perfectly with their cocktails. The espresso martini was one of the best I’ve had — smooth, rich, and beautifully presented.
The space itself is inviting with plenty of seating, a great bar setup, and friendly staff who make the experience easy and enjoyable. Our bartender was especially informative, taking time to explain drink options and specials, which made the visit even better. I also love that they offer 50% off bottles of wine on Saturdays — such a fun reason to stop in with friends.

We always sit at the bar everywhere we go—it’s where you catch the true vibe of a place—and at Oak 36, the energy, cocktails, and service are outstanding.
Andrew, the bar manager, took our experience to another level. Not only is he knowledgeable and engaging, but he knows the menu inside and out. He suggested going with the double meatball option—so we ended up with four of their incredible wood-fired meatballs for less than the price of three on the lunch menu. That kind of thoughtful, guest-first recommendation is exactly what sets great service apart.
The meatballs themselves were fantastic: tender, perfectly seasoned, kissed with fire from the oven, and finished with a rich tomato sauce that made us want to order another round. Pair that with one of the best espresso martinis in Savannah—silky, balanced, and beautifully presented—and it was the perfect lunch.
The bar has a modern, open vibe: backlit shelves lined with spirits, flat screens for game day, and a crowd that feels like a mix of locals and food-savvy visitors. Sitting at the bar here isn’t just about convenience—it’s the best seat in the house.

What a great spot! Food is always on point, and the menu is great, so you don't have to worry about people finding something.
Get there early so you can grab a drink at the bar with Joe. Always happy, always cuttin up.. one of the happiest people I've met, and just gives the bar a great vibe.

An unexpected, positive surprise. The salmon out of here was THE best salmon I've had out of a restaurant! Our kids don't usually eat their leftovers from restaurants, so usually I'll eat theirs for lunch the next day. I was disappointed to find their leftovers were already consumed by them the next day 😆 Great intimate place, attentive and personable staff, WONDERFUL entrees!

So my partner & I have been coming here for more than 2 1/2 yrs now & it never disappoints. The Bartenders are great, the servers are pleasant & efficient, and the food is definitely a notch above. That’s why we keep coming back.
