Visited Origin Coffee Bar after seeing all the great reviews, and while the space itself is aesthetically pleasing, the atmosphere felt a bit too quiet and tense, not the kind of place where you feel comfortable having a casual conversation.

The two staff members weren’t rude, but they didn’t seem particularly welcoming either. The coffee was decent, but nothing that stood out or made the experience memorable.

We arrived pretty close to closing and at around 3:57 PM staff made their rounds to inform all tables that the café was closing promptly at 4:00. While that’s understandable, the way it was handled felt abrupt and added to an already uninviting vibe.

Maybe we caught them at an off time, but based on this visit, I didn’t feel the warmth or quality that so many reviews mentioned. Not sure I’d return.

I’ve been getting realllllly overly sweet lattes in Savannah, so I was so happy to stumble in here and have a delicious latte. The cups are really aesthetic and cute and the branding/vibe inside is great with a ton of seating and big open windows. I also got the breakfast Sammie and it was great. Kind of bummed I walked in here on my last morning in Savannah - I’ll definitely be back though!

First off - the coffee was quite good! This is fundamental and Origin Coffee Bar nailed that.

The food was decent - we had breakfast and while we had no complaints, nothing stood out.

The place was crowded and some people had to wait for a table. It was a little noisy but it was the thrum of a busy cafe - not a bad thing.

One irritating thing was the default 20% tip for the order. Call me cheap or too used to Europe & Asia but it feels extreme for counter service. Yes, you can change it, but the assumptive close was a bit off-putting.

I visited as a tourist from finding this place on social media! I was dumb and asked about their specials which was literally on the middle panel behind the counter, but the barista didnt even hesitate and went right into listing them off. I got the Dubai chocolate matcha 🤤 absolutely heaven. I wish I was local to coffee shops like this. If you work from home or a student, perfect atmosphere to get out of the house/dorm/library to go get stuff done in a different scenery. Prices were higher than im used to, but would go back if in the area again. Highly recommend!

Busy in there, waited 10-15 mins which wasn’t a problem. ordered a Dubai chocolate matcha and did not come with cold foam. And a regular matcha drink ordered with cold foam. Neither drink had a lid or cold foam. Both tasted the same, plain. Not worth $7 per small 8oz drink for plain and watery matcha

To be honest I don’t understand the hype around this place. Yes, it’s cute inside but the service was so slow. I waited nearly 30 minutes for overnight oats and a cold brew. The overnight oats were watery, the cold brew was fine. Worth the wait? In my opinion no. There are several other coffee shops nearby that are just as cute and way quicker.

This truly is an immaculate coffee shop. Great coffee, awesome space / vibes, and excellent breakfast (so rare for coffee shops) that comes out FAST! Even their to go cups for cold drinks are cool. Awesome job Origin I will be back whenever I’m in town!

The owners are super hands on and the food was delicious. Serving sizes are thoughtful and every detail has been thoroughly considered. That kind of detail makes a great experience.
