What an incredible hotel. The JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside is a unique, multi-building complex built around the repurposed historic Savannah Electric Power Plant and old warehouses. This hotel is marvelous. So unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Tons of restaurants, shops and bars within and all around the hotel property. The rooms are spacious and clean. Highly recommend.
Fantastic Location and Beautiful property. Honestly everything was perfect except the Valet Scratching my Audi (don’t think it was intentional). Told the front desk and called the second I left the hotel and went to fill up gas for the way back. They said the Valet would call me back, no call ever came. Then I show up 4 days later to stay again at the hotel and talk to the Valet directly and was told that the Valet manager will call me back when he got in later that day. No call ever came. Stopped by the front desk to try to get a resolution a 3x and she said the Valet isn’t run through the hotel and that I would need to contact the valet to have recourse. I did that via phone and in person and still nothing. How does a top tier hotel like this just disregard guest vehicles or how they are taken care of. God forbid a Rolls Royce shows up and gets damaged by the Valet. I’m sure the whole run around of who is responsible would reflect really well on the Brand. I need this resolved because apparently no one in Savannah can return my calls. Once again my only issue is the damage to my car which the Hotel won’t do anything about and the valet won’t even return a call. I spent 1500$ there in 2 nights and this is the service I get, unbelievable.
Felt welcomed at check-in. Good service overall. Old building so expect some city noise if on the city view side. I don't recommended the atrium view rooms unless you don't care about daylight, a view or people seeing into your room. Gem displays were pretty amazing. The room was nice and had no issues. Would happily stay again.
Fun vibe
We didn't stay here but did look around the lobby. Was really interesting.
There could not be a better location than this hotel. The staff is always smiling and going above and beyond. Amazing amenities throughout the hotel to enjoy made our first Marriott Plant Riverside a truly great experience.
Front desk clerk who checked us in had excellent customer service. She treated us with respect and gave us a room upgrade. We’re definitely going back!
Horrible experience. Rooms are old, curtains did not work. We stayed at the Loft, and the quality of service and experience was quite poor. Communication sucked. We called multiple times to get linen and coffee but no response. Final bill was never sent and they over charged us by $600. When we called the front desk to clarify, she was rude! They seem to be petty. Even the quality of toilet paper, other toiletries was quite low, worse than what you find at a Red Roof Inn. This was not a 4 star experience at all!! Do not recommend it to AnYONE. Do not waste your money. Location sucks. Parking is Not easy. Uber drivers or Instacart could not find it on map and lost my order! The building is so congested. 3 towers are Not even connected, you have to step outside to get to the main tower. Pathetic experience Not worth our money!
One of our favorite restaurants is in Savannah so we get there quite a bit. We will be staying at the JW Marriott from now on!!
This place is brand new, HUGE, well designed, immaculate, rooms are well thought out, numerous bars and restaurants and the art throughout the entire property just POPS!!
Probably the only property in Savannah where there is actually space to breath...Again, the property is HUGE!! It is like 3 hotels in 1.
Very impressed with the entire staff. Courteous and friendly. The location is great and highly recommend staying here.
👍😁👍
One of the worst “luxury” hotel stays we’ve ever had.
We stayed 4 nights over New Year’s as a family of four, and the service was unacceptable from start to finish.
Our balcony door would not lock (a serious safety issue). Engineering confirmed it was broken, but management never followed up or fixed it. When I called the front desk, the woman I spoke with was rude, dismissive, and disrespectful, treating me like I didn’t know how a lock worked. No apology. No resolution.
Housekeeping failed daily — not enough towels, no washcloths, missing coffee and cups, despite 4 people on the reservation. We had to call every single day and wait around for basics.
To top it off, we were woken up at 7:30am by construction hammering next door, with no warning and no response from management afterward.
This is a JW Marriott, yet I’ve had far better service at budget hotels. Unsafe, disorganized, and disrespectful. Do not recommend.
