JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District

I order strawberries and champagne for my girlfriends birthday and on the arrival they won’t there, I called the same night to get them delivered and never arrived, next day the same. The shower head did not work properly until the last day that they finally came to fix it. The house keeper did not empty my garage and took the toilet paper and did not replaced, put the tissue box on top of the empty one and left the couch in the middle of the room. There was only one bathrobe and it was dirty. I
had no phone service for all of my stay cause no one came to fix the phone. The room next door had a dog all day barking in the room and complains where made with no result.

Amazing hotel at a fabulous location. Hotel is right on Savannah River with access to many shops and restuarants. Beautiful decorations throughout the hotel. The staff was great - Melissa and rest of Front Desk team were very kind and helpful. This is definitely a place to stay at or just visit.

This was our first stay at this hotel, and I must say almost everything exceeded my expectations. Kristen checked us in, we were accommodated with an early check-in, which was great after traveling all day. She was so pleasant and provided me with all the information we needed for our stay. We stayed in the three muse’s part of the building, our room was at the end of the hall and was very quiet (for the most part). There was a musty smell that I was not a fan of. My husband said he didn’t notice it. Also, the ice machine (closest to our room) on our floor did not work. We ate small plates at both roof top bars (shrimp something or other with the biscuits pear and sliders with the spicy peanut sauce noodles) and the food was mediocre at both restaurants. I had the best drink at the tequila company (it was a cucumber lime drink with a salt rim). Valet was a bit slow in getting our car to us the first day we were there but that got better by the end of our stay. One negative thing was that we wanted to order room service and could not find anything in our room or on the Marriott app on how to do that. I didn’t feel like bothering the busy front desk staff with it, so we just got out of the room and ate at other places. Overall, our stay was amazing. Cannot wait to visit again!

We really enjoyed this hotel. The location is perfect and within walking distance of the historical downtown. We spend New Year’s Eve here and it was a fun atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel when you come to Savannah!

This place is horribly racist

Fantastic place and we would definitely go back.
Spectacular decor and design! The lobby museum is amazing! Restaurants are great!

I do feel like they are understaffed or that some of staff just doesn’t care about the details.

And for example I mentioned to several front desk workers that there was a room service food tray in the hall with food on it and it sat there for two days. It’s a dog friendly hotel as well so I’m sure that food was tempting all of the dogs :)

The check-in experience was absurd. As the line grew longer and longer, one loan person attempted periodically to check people in. While two other workers stood by doing nothing. Not an impressive display of teamwork or efficiency

Stayed here this past weekend for the Holidays, and it was an amazing time! Location is perfect, right by the water but walking distance to historic district and everything nearby. The hotel was so amazing we barely left, all the restaurants are phenomenal. Could not recommend enough!

Shocking lack of professionalism for a Kessler property, with the exception of Lily, whose friendliness and attention to detail were excellent.

One of the newest and most beautiful properties in Historic Savannah. Inside the JW Marriott you will find holiday trees currently representing local businesses around Savannah, beautiful restaurants on-site, art and gems, a spa, a live music venue where they hold daily concerts. The three properties you can stay at are all very different. The Three Muses is more elegant and for couples, or a girl's weekend. The Atlantic is gorgeous and coastal themed. The ballrooms are exquisite. Lastly, the JW is based in the Old PowerPlant. Kessler has outdone himself this time. We've seen what it used to look like and how far it's come. Absolutely amazing.

Nearby activities: There are so many restaurants and shops onsite or nearby. You can walk to everything.

Safety: Like in any city you must be careful, and stay alert

Walkability: You can walk the riverfront or up to Bay St and Broughton St within 15 minutes using the new stairs infront of the large fountain and Electronic Moon entrance. Those steps are a lot less steep than the historic steps everywhere else.

Food and drinks: The pizza restaurant is good and Mexican one. The lounge inside the JW serves African small bites and drinks. The outside seafood concept is good, and the burger place. We've heard the Steak house is excellent but haven't tried it yet. Myrtle Rose was good the last time we went there. That is the rooftop bar on top JW Marriott it is accessible via a side entrance. They have a Christmas pop-up now, too.

We didn't stay here, so we went to the shops. The staff is very friendly and helpful in answering questions. They have a lot of traffic here and handle it well.
