The hotel is beautiful and there is a lot to do withi walking distance. But as we left in the morning, the smell of sewage in the hallway was overwhelming. In addition, the valet service is exoensive and badly managed. One person on duty on a Monday morning. Does hotel management realize this is a workday? It took over 30 minutes to get my car.

Rooms: Very clean and the cleaning service came frequently. Even had turn-down service. We had a Riverview and the boats were a great source of entertainment for my husband.. lol. Plus the sunset was spectacular.Nearby activities: Lots of things within walking distance. Shops and food. Art Galleries were my favorite.Safety: Excellent, lots of lights and always employees around.Walkability: Very walk friendly. Everything you need close if not in River view!Food & drinks: Go to the Chop House! The food is divine. The outside eateries are great we did seafood. And the Turbine is a very amazing breakfast brunch spot!!!Noteworthy details: We booked because of my love of paleontology. And the huge chrome dinosaur was featured on a Paleo site I frequent.. I admit I went all fan girl over the fossils and gemstones. We stayed in the plant building , fascinating details in the new vs old architecture . It was a very enjoyable trip all around.

Oh my goodness, now this is definitely a must visit for the whole family. I don't even know where to start everything, and everyone was amazing.

We just wandered in while on the Riverwalk for lunch. WOW! What a fabulous display of minerals and fossils!

I didn't spend the night but had drinks/tea in the (sort of outdoor) upstairs bar area. Great view. $$$$Walkability: Right on the edge of the river and just inside the path of the major tourist area.Food & drinks: Pricey. But that is expected.

Great location and stunning interior. Be sure to request a room away from the bars/clubs. We stayed in the Power Plant building facing the atrium and had no issues with noise, but others we knew staying in the Three Muses building had noise issues as they faced the bars along the street. We were disappointed by the service from the front desk staff. After requesting a late checkout which was approved by the staff, we returned to our room to find ourselves locked out. We went to the front desk and were told we had to wait in line to get our cards rekeyed. We waited for over 10 minutes and were offered no apology, even after being told by the staff that we shouldn’t have had to have our cards rekeyed since we requested a late checkout in advance. Again, not a huge issue but the attitude of the staff was off-putting and not what I’d expect at a JW Marriott property.

The worst service i have ever received as an Ambassador of Marriott. While the room is ok the service is awful. I called 2 times to have my bags taken and no one ever came. When i got to lobby carrying all my bags 30 mins later the bellmen said never got notice from front desk. I also texted the valet for car which is the procedure there and they said 5 mins. Car never came for 30 mins and they did not even know where it was. I also waited for 15 mins (ppl in-front of me) as Ambassador to check in and then all of the sudden 10 flight attendants and pilots came in and they decided to help them first which made me miss my dinner. They claimed they are working and the one attendant was looking for two beds so she could go out on town with friend and the pilot was there in am working out after i left. 5 star hotel?? 3.5

When the Uber driver suggested dropping me off at the JW Marriott I thought he was insane. You have to go in and see the lobby to believe it. A total must do.

Best hotel I've ever stayed at. The bed...I mean I don't think it can get any better. Everything about this place is top notch. Design, textiles, service and amenities are fantastic. They really take care of you here. Can't wait to visit again!

We didn’t even stay here but we will next time, the lobby has a museum and restaurants you can walk around in and the rooms are beautiful as well as the location being prime for walking around. Definitely the go to hotel in the area
