The sushi is the star here! The creativity and taste are far superior than any other place I have eaten. The intimate family atmosphere makes you feel comfortable.
I'm highly disappointed with the management of the restaurant. I bought sushi yesterday evening and a few hours later I vomited the sushi a few hours later. I haven't thrown up from eating food in 8 years. The only food I ate that day was sushi and water. My diet has been consistent daily with the exception of yesterday. I called a few minutes after it happened but they were closed so I called again today. I spoke with management and they asked me to bring the food in. I told them I consumed the food so it's impossible and they said they can't refund my money. When I explained my history and diet they didn't care. They told me to go to the doctor and bring a note but I shared with them I felt normal once my body rejected the food so there's no point. I don't want to expose myself to large crowds of people if I don't have to. Also, me going to the doctor wouldn't change anything because there's still "no proof". It's not even about the money because I could eat at five guys and chick fil a and spend about the same amount. I've ordered takeout at least 100x this year and I've never returned anything. I just wanted to share the unprofessionalism and lack of empathy for their customers. The last thing I would do is fake a meal during the worst pandemic ever. I'll never eat at the place again and I caution y'all to do the same. Shame on you Steven (manager).
Really tasty sushi (and shrimp egg roll) presented fresh and quickly by an extremely friendly and attentive staff! We will be back!
We found this restaurant by pure chance while on vacation, and ate there two nights in a row. Amazing amount of choices and everything we tried was hot and delicious.
Most amazing sushi ever... this place is a hidden gem.. with a great staff.... the man that makes the sushi amazing!!!!
As other reviewers have written: food is tasty; service is excellent and very friendly. I had the Bourbon Chicken (came with fried rice and broccoli). It was excellent: tasty and tender. Will be returning soon.
Extremely friendly staff. Outstanding service. Food is excellent with many options to choose from. Very quiet and enjoyable atmosphere.
Small, family run business with attention to great food and service. I have lunch there any time I can.
This restaurant has been here for several years and I had pleasure of going for casual conversation and good food. Small, pleasant and comfortable.
The choices available here almost boggle the mind. Like fried rice? They have it! Egg rolls? Yep! Sushi? You bet they have it. Great price, good service, good food

I'm not a very good judge of sushi. That's my son's milieu. But the Tomago Don and other rice dishes that I get are the best I've encountered. This restaurant is in a small strip mall at the end of Waters Street on the Southeast side of Savannah. Its sort of hard to spot but the access is easy and there is always adequate parking close to the restaurant's door. The proprietor and staff are always friendly and attentive and all of the food prepared is excellent in appropriately priced. The place is clean and well maintained and is great for lunch or dinner.
Very good, great service! We got the spicy tuna roll, Valcano roll, dragon roll and the tempura chicken roll.
This restaurant has been in its location for many, many years, which speaks to its service and food quality - both excellent. Located in a small strip mall on Waters Avenue on the south side, the service is quick and served with a smile. The food is as advertised, that is Japanese. It may be the only restaurant in town to serve fish, meat and vegetables "tempura". If you like tempura, this is the place to go.
Yeah I said it! This is one of the BEST places to dine in Savannah. There is something special and magical about family run businesses. They tend to attract and maintain good business. I come here for lunch and get the bento box with salmon philly roll for just $10! Then I come for dinner and get the Rock N Roll and Salmon Nigiri. Everything about this spot makes me fall in love.
When was the last time you had a good meal and a good laugh? Sakura is sure to provide just that. Their chefs are trained to entertain you and feed you well. I loved their watermelon Saki! I couldn't stop eating and almost needed a wheel chair, lol. It really is good food for the price you pay and you leave full.
