Savannah Candy Kitchen is perfectly nestled along the river, and you’re practically pulled inside by the smell of vanilla and brown sugar drifting out onto River Street. The staff is just as sweet as the treats—greeting you with smiles and offering samples of their freshly made pralines.
There are so many options to choose from that you’ll definitely need to come back more than once to try it all. A classic Savannah stop and a must-visit if you’re walking the riverfront!
Great selection and the candy apples are great!!
Excellent Carmel apples.
Friendly service
Very disappointed… Every year I get my husband a treat box from here for his birthday. I always purchase the same thing. In the last order they shorted us one of the items. I wrote to let them know. They would only assist me if I sent the numbers from the box. Of course that had already been tossed. They have now lost a very longtime customer due to the lack of caring. The candy is expensive and to not stand by the quantity that they advertise is very deceptive.
The best caramel peanut apple I’ve ever had in my life. The caramel was so tasty and so fresh as well as the apple
Amazing selection of chocolate! Truly a chocolate lovers dream. Many things from pralines, gophers ( turtles) , candied pecans, toffee, brittle, popcorn and gummies. Prices are a bit on the high end but mostly worth it. Most of the staff was very nice the younger blonde girl at the checkout was aloof and disinterested but that seems to be a problem with gen Z
This store has a huge selection of candies to curve any sweet tooth you have. No only does it have candies but they also have mouth water baked goods. Next year I'm going to shop here for stocking stuffers for my grandbabies
Wonderful! The young blonde man who served us today at noon is a GEM and deserves a raise for his hardwork. He was the only one running the popcorn and ice cream stand! He was very calm and pleasant, managed to take care of all the customers! The Fruit Sorbet was delicious! Thank you 🤗
Since our local bakery closed we were not able to find any good German Chocolate Cake. But after searched high and low, we found it...!!!
My husband love their German Chocolate Cake, although it is a bit pricy but once a year...We are ok with that!!!
Don’t get the candy apples, the plastic doesn’t peel off

Gophers are SOOO GOOD! The offering of cakes is also really tasteful.
Purchased a trio cake and one of the wrapping paper was torn apart from the cake. Call them to see if they would send another one or do anything about it; they said absolutely not and basically hung up the phone. I was shocked at this treatment and would never purchase anything from them again.
Savannah Candy Kitchen is a must-stop if you love sweets. The pralines and truffles were delicious—especially the turtles (which they don’t call turtles because the name is trademarked; here they’re called gophers). Whatever the name, they’re excellent.
The popcorn was really good too. Overall, it’s just a beautiful candy shop—everything looks inviting, and it smells amazing the moment you walk in.
Pro tip: don’t go in hungry, and don’t walk in like you’re entering a casino. Know your limits, because it’s very easy to overdo it. 😄
Definitely worth the stop.
A fun and large candy store down by the river. Lots of choices from specialty popcorns to Carmel apples. Yum!
My kids didnt want to leave! What an outstanding variety of all things sweet! My favorite was the huge cooler of REAL sodas.
