Stopped in for shepherd's pie and it didn't disappoint. It's served super hot in an individual little pot with a nice salad on the side. The homemade Ranch dressing was delicious. I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Loved the whole vibe.

Being of Irish decent my wife and I were excited to see an Irish pub here in Savannah, the pub was busy so we were sure the food would be good, but much to our disappointment it wasn’t, I ordered their shepherds pie (marked cottage pie) on the menu and I was very disappointed in what was sent out, first thing is it came with a salad on the platter next to a tiny soup bowl of shepherds pie, about six ounces, and it was extremely dry and without any flavor whatsoever, not even salt and pepper could help this poor attempt at an Irish dinner, at at $25.00 a plate it was embarrassing to say the least, I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone
Extremely disappointed

Love the 6 pence pub. Great English food and beer. Did have some trouble accepting foreign IDs drivers license. Wanted passport for proof, not everyone carries their passport on a night out for risk of loosing it, and some ship crew have to keep passports onboard. So plan ahead.

If you are diabetic and on the verge of collapsing from hypoglycemia, and this is the only restaurant you can make it to…don’t.
DO NOT GET THE BURGER! $20 for essentially a Bubba’s Burger. Tasteless, frozen patty. $2 extra for cheese. The TV’s are microscopic, too.

Hostess was super nice but server had a bit of an attitude and was super slow. Food was mediocre and took a long time to come out. Likely won’t go back.

Atmosphere was great, food was meh, service was sparse. Saw our server all of 4 times. We ordered dessert after finishing and she instead brought our bill, with no dessert, she didn't stick around Long enough for us to ask so we had to wait till she came back for her money, when she appeared we looked at the bill then her and then the bill and she finally remembered that oh you ordered dessert, I'll be eight back with that. The dessert was not worth the wait, don't order creme brulee in Savannah, I have tried 2 times and been sorely disappointed by both restaurants. The food was okay, not worth writing about except that the jellied cranberry sauce on my plate still had the line indentations from the can they took it out of...come on people, if you are gonna charge this much for mediocre food, at least attempt to make it not look like the can you just popped open.

We had a great time at the Six Pence Pub. We enjoyed quick service, a nice pub atmosphere, and a delicious pot pie. Would recommend for the history/British food lovers out there!

I was taking a haunted pub crawl tour that started at this location. Me and 3 others came here for dinner. The food was so much better than any of us expected.
I got the pot roast and it ranks high among all other pot roasts that I have ever had! The meat was tender, juicy, and delicious. The potatoes were also very good and the collard greens were smokey and delicious.
10 out of 10. I will return here with every future visit to Savannah.
