After choosing Savannah for our wedding location, we found many charming potential wedding venues. After visiting a couple, it was an easy decision for us to go with Soho South! We loved the online reviews we read and word-of-mouth from our vendors on behalf of how great Soho is. Touring it in person sealed the deal!
Our main contact - Alysse - was excellent to work with from the beginning. If we had questions, we got full answers and recommendations in a timely manner. Soho’s team of chefs made the delicious food truly unforgettable. The buffet package was incredible, from the apps, to main entrees, to desserts, and to the great drink package. From great lighting to a seamless ceremony-to-reception flip to the impeccable service throughout the night, we couldn’t have been happier.
Overall, we would absolutely use this event center in the future of other celebrations. Thanks Soho for making our special day great!!

My husband and I got married at Soho South in August. It was everything we hoped it would be and more! Alysse was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process, and the staff the night of the wedding were very courteous. We still get compliments on the food - I loved how we were able to customize our menu (highly recommend the sliders). The downtown location and the decor gave us that Savannah feel with a modern touch. We would choose Soho South over and over again.

Used to be my favorite restaurant. Went there today and was saddened to find out they converted into a venue.

I came here for a rehearsal dinner and I cannot get over how everything went so flawlessly. Im wasnt part of the wedding party, only a guest but I had to write a review. Ben , the manager of the venue I believe, was so attentive to all the little details, he made sure all the guests had a wonderful time and their drinks were being refilled and the decoration was set up properly. The staff was so lovely and polite and the food was spectacular. We had an amazing arugula salad, perfectly crisp brussel sprouts , mushroom risotto and perfectly cooked beef. There was also a selection of charcuterie and the option of drinks and beers was high quality.

Perfect reception venue! They were very accommodating of our guests with allergies, have an extensive and delicious menu, and served up perfectly strong drinks. Intimate enough for a 40 person wedding but also large enough for a bigger wedding. Alisse was helpful every step of the way and didn't try to upsell us on anything. Thank you!

We are so happy that we booked our renewal ceremony here! We were doing a very simple, casual vow renewal with family+friends that was more of a reunion, without a rehearsal. We were moving around the East Coast for the year leading up to our celebration so I was remotely researching Savannah venues. A lot of places do the venue and catering separate, but Soho does both and can accommodate allergies! This was the best venue for our fairly small budget. We visited once, a year out and loved it! The location is great because it's outside of busy downtown but there's lots of parking and bars nearby. It looks just like the photos. Our guests loved it too! Even without a professional photographer, any photos taken will come out great! All of the staff (planners, chefs, waiters, bartenders) were very professional and friendly! One thing to note is that communication until closer to the date is pretty inconsistent. The best way to get your questions answered is to schedule a phone meeting. Not until we scheduled the tasting a few months out did we get consistent email communication from Soho. Sometimes our wedding planner reached out for us to prompt a response, but we were patient and persistent when needed. A lot of things get confirmed at the tasting meeting. In the final time leading up to the event, most of the communication was just between the venue coordinators and our wedding planner. This was our experience with the food day of == We did the Southern Dinner buffet with a few added things and it is AMAZING!!! Truly the food is SO DELICIOUS, all of our guests loved it too! The meal was made gluten and dairy free which tasted fantastic, no one knew the difference. Unfortunately, the cobbler dessert wasn't made gf or df - I'm not sure how the wedding planner caught it. I was disappointed because I wanted to eat that but the Soho staff found alternatives very quickly and refunded us before the night was over. Besides the people that had allergies, none of the guests even noticed that happened and they LOVED the other options!Keeping these things in mind, we still had a good experience! I recommend Soho South!

It truly pains me to write this review because our the set up and decor was soooo beautiful but I must warn you about the operations of this facility / event coordinators. First, it took nearly several times of reaching out to even try and and get additional information from their event coordinator. We emailed and called and received little to no response until I basically harassed their event coordinator. Secondly, we emailed follow ups several times to the venue around 45 days out and rarely got responses. I even so much as asked if they provided high chairs and never got an email back. The communication was absolutely horrid. However the thing that was the worst was LESS THAN 24 HOURS UNTIL OUR WEDDING we get an email stating that we had a balance of $5000.00. Mind you per their contract the $ is due two weeks in advanced and we paid the balance well over a month prior to our wedding. We attempted to reach out via call / email for the reasoning but the event coordinator again took her time to response. It was not until I sent a rather alarming text that we got a response..... needless to say, the event coordinator must have mistakingly miscalculated or did not charge the appropriate fees and tried to collect LESS THAN 24 hours to the event. We were on the phone trying to negotiate with them for HOURS while at our rehearsal dinner. Leading to us having a horrible rehearsal night and stressing all the night before our big day. It was such an unethical thing for them to do especially since their contract states all final payments are due two weeks prior to the event. During our event, we had steaks which were cooked medium rare. When we asked why they were still bloody they replied "we were told medium rare". I am pregnant and do not eat medium rare meats and neither does my husband so that was extremely disappointing. And the event coordinator did not once show face after the night before incident nor has any forms of management contacted us about the mishap. Overall I do not recommend this event space.Very disappointed and made the day very stressful.

We held our New Years Eve wedding ceremony and reception, and New Years Day Brunch at Soho South. I simply cannot say enough positive things about Jamie, Alysse, and the entire team from Soho South and Daniel Reed. At every turn they helped us customize the menu and experience for our guests. Everything was unbelievably beautiful and well thought out. Can not recommend Soho South enough!

Absolutely loved Soho South for my December 2022 wedding. It was so beautiful and they were great to work with! They gave out a preferred vendor list and it helped me so much in finding vendors to use! For sure recommend Soho for all events!

The staff created a magical and romantic atmosphere for our wedding day. The space was perfect and the employees were somehow even better.

So DISAPPOINTED...came here after years of being gone and this is NOT SoHo South Cafe...the menu has changed drastically...and seems to be a wedding venue now rather than a class act restaurant. Found out Chef Bonnie had passed and she's definitely turning over in her grave that this place carries her legacy and has went to hell in a hand basket....
