Spanky's Southside Pizza Galley and Saloon

Semi regular customers. On 11/2/25 stopped for lunch. Ordered bacon cheeseburger, and onion rings. Husband ordered chili dog. We waited well over 30 minutes to receive our order. Know a burger takes a bit of time, however, the onion rings were so salty as to be non edible, and tough. Be awhile before we go back

I’m was just at the location on River St. It was 8:15. There were 3 young ladies in front of me, who told him “We have 3 for sure, but there are like 20 coming”. I told him there was only 1 for me. He then said yall know we close at 9 right? My reply was does that mean you don’t want my business? No reply, so I turn around and left.
I brought a 54 passenger motorcoach to Savannah, several of my passengers recommended this restaurant, but I will never know if it is good or not. Your staff needs to be trained properly to work on the hospitality industry.

Me and my family are of a colored race. They ran past us were spiteful and rude all around. My sister bit down on a tooth pick in the crab dip which we shared. We've been there on several occasions and the service has never been this rude. They served the Caucasian people right next to us as we were waiting 45minutes at the least. And the atmosphere was chaotic and unwelcoming. We were seated in the back corner along with another colored couple. In conclusion, they were nasty and Raicist.

Very busy, but we were able to get in. The service was great, chicken fingers were out of this world. Food arrived hot. Katie took very good care of us. Will go back to Savannah to eat there again. Servers were constantly checking on us. Didn’t have to ask for refills.

So… people rave about Spanky’s and no matter how much I’ve tried their food I still can’t see why. In my opinion Spanky’s is cool for an older crowd, my grand parents use to appreciate the lack of seasoning so their blood pressure wouldn’t rise.

So basically… Treat your grand parents to Spanky’s.

Everything we had lacked flavor. We started with the spinach dip, sent it back. The pita looked like they took it straight from the bag to the plate, their Cesar dressing was missing like three ingredients (actually every dish seemed to be missing a couple things).

I will say their pizza with light cheese (because their locations are heavy with the cheese) well done crust is good. I usually do a small double pep! This time we tried the BBQ Chicken pizza and it’s a HARD NO!! The chicken was super dry, my boyfriend said it was too much cheese and I thought it was way too much BBQ sauce. Not only was there a lot on the crust, then they drizzled it on top too. The steak fingers were probably the worst thing we kept, it’s like unseasoned slices of cube steak and flour.

Our service wasn’t bad though and the atmosphere gives you options. I’ve also had bar drinks from them before though and they were what they needed to be.

Went for the first time and I don't know if I'll go back because the food was so disappointing. I got the chicken reuben and it was the toughest chicken I've ever had in my life. Wish they had just shredded it. Got a side salad and the server said it had romaine lettuce, well it did not, it was iceberg.

Tried the spankys pizza and the chicken fingers with the potato wedge things. Would definitely go back for those potato wedges, they have a special name for them though.

This place never disappoints. The food and staff are always on point and the atmosphere is friendly and feels like you're having a meal with extended family. The chicken fingers are as advertised and highly recommended.
