Sushi Zen was a fantastic spot to get great sushi. The menu has tons of rolls to choose from and they were all good. They certainly don't skimp on quality! The fried rice was some of the best I've had!! ? The Tuna Pizza was the highlight of the meal!!

I have tried to spare this restaurant from a bad review in the past but TODAY 12/22/2023. I am done !!!Me and my sister arrived at 7:00PM and we waited with our kids in the lobby patiently. Patiently waiting party of 4 in the lobby & we were in communication with the young male server. He was very polite letting us know table #15 would be ours !! We were seated after about 30mins at table #15 (7:33pm). I stepped to the rr with my son and niece. Came back to table 15 where the young man sat us and was told that we needed to get up because there was “a party with reservations” by his older coworker woman . We were definitely picked at. I’m not sure if the “party that they were referring to were “friends or family” but wrong is wrong. That building is too small for reservations so I honestly believe she lied to give them our table. How is it remotely professional to tell someone to get up after already being seated with our children. Very unprofessional & tasteless.. We politely just left altogether. They will not receive another hard earned dollar of mine.

Service was meh. The server seemed annoyed and confused the whole time. The sushi was good, the egg thing was green and nasty but the cheesecake was so good. So overall not the worst experience but wont be back.

Sushi zen is hands down one of the best sushi spots in Savannah. The staff is very friendly. The bacon wrapped scallops are one of my faves and the ramen ain't so bad either.

One of the few places that has the soothing (zen) Japanese atmosphere. The staff is wonderful and so is their service. The food is delicious especially if you are willing to expand/explore with your taste buds. The Goma pudding is the perfect way to end the meal and bathe your taste buds with a Japanese beer or sake.

Sushi Zen. This is real sushi. This is good sushi. This is a good option if you are looking to try all the different kinds of rolls. Quality is not cheap.

I have worked in Japanese restaurants for several years, was a sushi chef for two years, and am a sushi connoisseur. This is the best sushi I have ever had. The fish was melt in your mouth fresh, bladework was immaculate, rolls were tight and beautiful. Sashimi and nigiri were absolutely immaculate.Atmosphere was warm and welcoming, traditional floor seating (take your shoes off!), Japanese artwork, lighting, a full suit of yoroi on display, all hidden in this little gem of a restaurant tucked in an unassuming strip mall.Staff was exceptionally prepared and attentive without being overbearing. Owner visited our table with complimentary appetizers!Do not miss this absolute wonder of a restaurant. Redefine what you think Sushi means!Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian rolls, Ramen, appetizers.Dietary restrictions: Sashimi is gluten free! The very definition if paleo!Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the traditional floor-seating tables and Japanese soda bottles! They had a blast!Wheelchair accessibility: Several wheelchair accessible tables.

Nice staff, decent food. Wasn't blown away but solid. Good prices overall though wouldn't recommend the dynamite roll. Ramen had very broth and pork but noodles were not ramen--more spaghetti. Kids menu would be a good addition in the future.
