Two of us went in for dinner. Immediately noticed that there were no other customers there. Ordered drinks off the menu, only one was available. That's ok. Both of us ordered pot roast. The pot roast came out cold and dry, the rice was equally dry and cold, the mashed potato was cold, they were out of gravy, and I got the incorrect side. We sent everything back to have it served heated. It came back basically at room temperature and drier than the first time. We politely excused ourselves and will not return.

7 of us for Birthday luncheon. Took 1 and a half hours to get served. Some of us on timeclock and away 2 hours so had to get salad in Togo box. Restaurant out of several vegetables ordered so discounted those meals. Not enough cooks nor servers. My food was good but won't go back.

Our waitress Kristen was great and gave good recommendations. Pecan-crusted chicken was tasty with sweet potato fries. Collard greens were slightly dry and lacked flavor.

The ceiling was so dirty especially in diningroom along the kitchen area.
I have never seen more dirt and grease on a resturant ceiling .
If this isn't cleaned I won't be back.
My salmon sandwich was over cooked, and was missing the grilled onions and shredded lettuce ( as was in the menu discription) . This time the dense burger bun was different than the normally served soft hoagie roll ,which has always been a good bread to fish
ratio. The burger bun it came on this time , was not good and too much dense bread for the fish. I've ordered this sandwich for 10 years and loved it...but this time it was awful. I ordered the potato salad as my side, but they were out.
Very disappointing.

The restaurant has changed hands.
The food was okay, rice was dry and hard from sitting, collards were bitter, country fried steak was not tender white gravy was to thick and tasteless. Waited 45 minutes for our food. The waiter kept apologizing for the long wait...due to the owner was the only cook in the kitchen preparing meals. I didn't want to try dessert!

It’s good but for the price they should pick the fat out of the meat and the sides should be more than 4 bites getting a Togo plate.

Recommended dishes: Banana Pudding with Pecans
I so wanted to like the food based on the reviews but unfortunately my family did not have a good experience here. The service was friendly.
However the food was bad. Just plain bad.
They were out of basmati rice and my daughter had to change her order entirely from gumbo. The two sides of corn pudding were literally sitting in water. The peach BBQ chicken I ordered I would neither describe as been BBQ'd or a peach flavor. It was like it was heated up in the microwave to a lukewarm temperature and the chicken skin had a very strange texture. I literally had to spit it out. The sweet potato fries were undercooked and had zero seasoning. The baked sweet potato had zero seasoning. My husband's meatloaf had zero seasoning. The mac and cheese was overcooked.
We received some ok cornbread after asking for it. Based on reviews, I thought this was like a complimentary standard thing. I do not know if we would have received this without asking for it.
It was like grade school cafeteria food.

Restaurantji Recommends
I recently visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish.
To begin with, the facility itself is in poor condition. The bathroom was dirty and in need of painting, and the ceilings throughout the restaurant showed dark stains that looked like mold. The place in general felt neglected, with dusty corners, grimy screens displaying constant advertisements, and a general sense of disrepair.
The atmosphere didn’t help either — during our visit, a person who appeared to be homeless was sleeping in the waiting area, which made the experience uncomfortable. With fewer than five tables occupied, service from the kitchen was still very slow, suggesting poor management or understaffing.
The food, sadly, didn’t redeem the experience. The chicken was undercooked, and the fried okra was completely inedible — woody and tough throughout. Portion sizes were noticeably smaller than before, and the $8 cucumber “appetizer” consisted of only five thin slices. Even the silverware felt cheap and unclean.
It’s clear that since we moved away in 2023, this restaurant has gone downhill significantly. The place feels cheaply run and poorly maintained, much like an old convenience store or roadside motel that’s seen better days.
Bottom line: the restaurant is unsanitary, overpriced, and poorly managed. We will not be returning.

I placed a to go order for liver and onion on 10/28/2025. I was told that they only had 2 cooks in the kitchen and my order my a minute. After waiting almost an hour. I finally recieved my order only to drive all the way back to work an openig my box to a burnt crisp piece of liver. I dorve all the way back there for a refund to be told that the manager says I would have to wait because he was assisting in the kichen. After about 10 minutes and my lunch completely over, he comes out of the kitche goes to the other side of the bar to help the host process my refund, but never said a word to me to address my issue. I have posted a picture of my to go order below which should not have been served to anyone.
I had the pecan encrusted chicken and it was ok. The okra and tomatoes were good and the collards were just OK. The BANANA PUDDING was awful. It was banana flavored whipped crème and more vanilla wafers than you can imagine but I could not find a banana slice. It was so bad I just did not eat it. I told the waiter and his answer was basically sorry.

This was probably one of the worst meals we had in Savannah. The fried chicken is definitely not the best in Savannah, the sides were cold. Appeared the oil in the fryer needed to be changed. The chicken was extremely dark overall a terrible experience for us.
