Nice staff, without a doubt the worst burger I have ever had.

We dined at The Fitzroy in Savannah, GA, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the restaurant was clean and well-kept. We were seated on time, and the hostess was friendly and helpful. Our table was back-to-back with another, which gave us some privacy, but it became a bit awkward since we kept bumping into the people behind us when shifting in our seats. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but definitely noticeable.
We each ordered a glass of wine, which was enjoyable. My wife had the lamb bolognese, and it was quite good—flavorful and cooked well. I ordered the NY strip, asking for it medium. Unfortunately, it arrived very rare. I sent it back, and when it returned, it was closer to medium rare but still too undercooked for my liking. To make things worse, my silverware had disappeared when the plate was taken to the kitchen and wasn’t brought back with the dish. At that point, it was frustrating trying to track down our waiter, who, though polite, was not easy to find and wasn’t particularly attentive.
On the bright side, the steak was removed from the bill without us having to ask, which I appreciated.
Would I give it another try? Yes, I would. But with all the great restaurant options in Savannah, it’ll probably be a while before I do.

My boyfriend and I went to The Fitzroy for dinner out on Saturday night for the first time. We were enjoying the experience with great food and service. Then it fell apart when a group of four older women arrived. They seemed to be known to one of the servers and were seated next to us. Well they were the loudest and most obnoxious group of diners who made the rest of our meal hard to enjoy. They were so loud my boyfriend and I couldn't carry on a conversation. No one from the restaurant came over to quiet them down. Sadly, it really put a real damper on our overall experience.

For a $19 boulevardier, worst I've ever had. The manhattan was decent. We had the brussel sprouts for an app, and the flavor combination was odd... the mint did not seem to go with the other flavors. The halibut was okay, however it arrived cold. The steak had a lot of gristle and was overcooked - for the quality of the dish, it should be a $25 meal. The fries were average and the mashed potatoes with gravy were the highlight of the meal and I would only give those a 7 out of 10.
We had the creme brulet cheesecake which was below average - apparenrly they do not have whipped cream because we asked for some and did not get any.
Overall, for the amount of money we paid for the quality of food we will probably not be back. Too many other places to try and this place did not impress.

Got bad mussels and way overcooked shrimp w/ burnt bread. Pretty basic stuff. Disappointed to say the least.

The vibes were excellent and the cocktails were fresh and yummy
The server started out great, but went downhill. When our food came out, the server asked us to move our appetizer plates so she could sit the meals down because the waiter didn’t clear them. Then I had to go to the bar and order my second drink since the waitee was nowhere to be seen My wife’s chicken schnitzel and beans were cool if not cold the burger was OK but not the best.

I was looking forward to trying the Fitzroy after hearing mixed reviews, but unfortunately, the food was very disappointing.
I want to first say, the service was not an issue for us. Denton was a great guy and very attentive to our group of 5. We started ordering a round of drinks and 4 different appetizers that included the mussels, crab cake, duck, and calamari. The presentation was fine, but the flavors were completely off. I must also note the mussels included kangaroo and I thought this was a weird combination, but also a personal opinion. The calamari was undercooked and very bland and the crab cake was just ok, nothing I would order again.
We should have left after the appetizers, but we stayed and each ordered a different entree. I am only going to discuss 3/5 entrees as this is all I personally tasted. The Steak Frites included well done New York strip despite asking for medium rare and French fries that tasted straight out of the freezer section of Sam’s Club. The burger was a bubba burger that could have been cooked at home. However, I must also say the pork osso bucco was flavorful and the best thing I tried on the menu.
Overall, the food was a major letdown, and it left me feeling unsatisfied. I had hoped for a much better experience based on the reputation of the restaurant, but sadly, I will not be returning.

Great visit here for dinner. Our waitress was great and attentive. I got the Rosie the Riveter drink and it was super yummy. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and my husband got the halibut and we both really enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere is cozy and very classy. I would highly recommend this place for a nice dinner out!

An excellent place to share, the place is very pleasant, the attention is wonderful, they are aware of the water and other needs. The food tasted good and was priced at the level of a good meal.
I just have to say thank you ?

We had a great experience at The Fitzroy tonight. Tony greeted us warmly and quickly seated us, even though it was a busy Friday night. The cucumber lime orange blossom gin cocktail I ordered was fantastic, and the lamb Shawarma was delicious. The broccolini was also a nice touch. Shoutout to our server, Ethan, for his friendly and attentive service.
