This year my wife and I thought for our anniversary we would go down to Savannah, Georgia and spend the night and dine at Lady and Sons Restaurant. We made our reservation, and we left on the morning of May 14. 2025. We arrived at Lady and Sons and the waiter took our order. I ordered catfish, slaw and Mac & Cheese. My wife ordered roast beef, corn and something else. The meal came with cheese biscuits and we had tea to drink. The catfish was strips about 3/8” wide and very short and about four strips. The slaw was like eating shredded cabbage with no dressing. The mac & cheese was dry and not good at all. My wife’s Roast beef looked like what one would get when buying a can of Herford Roast Beef at the grocery store. The cheese biscuits we had heard so much about were doughy and the cheese was hard and dry. It was very a disappointing experience after hearing so much and seeing Paula Dean prepare food on Television for so many years. The other thing we found out is there is no parking for those dining at the restaurant. Renting a space to park one’s vehicle was not only a distance to walk but also very expensive. When we decided to leave the waiter came and brought the bill. It was $101.00 for four of us. I added a $10,00 tip and the waiter scoffed at the tip and laughed. Hopefully, this was a bad day for all around and I hope things for future diners will be better.

We originally went to the one in pigeon Forge, Tennessee, while on vacation, and on the way home, stopped at Lady and Sons for lunch, both locations had excellent food and atmosphere.

We ducked in here to get out of the rain, having originally planned to eat at another restaurant. Everyone was nice enough, and service was satisfactory. Food was not amazing, but not horrible either. Absolutely over priced for the options and just sad looking. It’s not fancy, it is southern fried food. Not worth the price. Cheddar biscuits were to notch!

Absolutely blew our expectations. So many restaurants are over rated but this one is not a disappointment. Family style dining was a nice change of pace and portions were more than adequate. The fried chicken and tossed salad were everyone's favorites. Our waiter was engaging and attentive.

Please don’t waste your money here…if you are already from the South you know what Southern food is supposed to taste like….We had the family style meal with Pot roast over rice, chicken and dumplings, Mac n cheese, collard greens, cream corn and broccoli cheese and rice casserole. The roast and chicken and dumplings were TERRIBLE!!! They had some weird flavor I’ve never tasted in my life…all the sides were mediocre at best….The server was nice….but trust me this is not good southern soul food..:no love was put into it at all!!!!

Amazing southern food, I wish I could bring it all home and eat more. Don't skip dessert, it is just as amazing as the meal!

Had dinner here first night in Savannah, the staff were all very friendly and took the time to explain food, offer suggestions and share Savannah experiences. The gift shop was cute and we enjoyed picking up a few items there as well. Overall, we were pleased with our visit.

The best food we've had during our whole trip. This was genuinely amazing. The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. I had a meeting at iced tea and the family meal with yummy fried chicken, fried catfish and the tartar sauce was the best I've ever had.

The family and I went here while staying in Savannah as I am a fan of Paula and I want to try out her restaurant. Let’s just say the food was so good, we went back a second time. The fried chicken was one of the best I’ve ever tasted, wasn’t dry at all, very moist with a great crisp. My other half loved the catfished and raved about it. The cheddar began biscuits were indeed different, but very good, soft and moist. All the sides were great as well plus (I however didn’t enjoy the coslaw but then again I am picky with how it’s made) the waitresses were very nice and friendly. I defiantly recommend and would 100% go back again in a heartbeat. ❤️

Everyone is different but this was not the place for my family and me. Catfish was salt heavy, Mac and cheese dry, collard greens had no salt and baked beans 🤢. Disappointing and frankly disgusting! Despite returning just about full plates of food, the restaurant was unapologetic and offered no concession.

My very favorite restaurant. The staff is so helpful and kind. They make me wish I lived in Savanah. Great food. Family atmosphere. Felt valued. And felt like I've known them all forever. Service professional and at the same time friendly.

Very average food. it both tasted and looked like it had been cooked hours ago and been reheated. No where near good enough for the price. I would definitely skip this one.

We especially traveled out of our way to go to the Lady and Sons. We had to pay to park $35.00 for 2 hours. We couldn't be more disappointed. The place was ruined down, the first booth they sat us in was so tight we couldn't breath. We were moved to table and waited a long time to even be acknowledged. The waiter was pleasant, took our order and brought us a bisquit and our drinks. We got our fried green tomatoes that were raw in the middle. Then after over 20 minutes we finally got someone's attention to ask about our order and he said the kitchen was backed up and it should be out shortly. After another 10 minutes he came back and said they it was the chicken that we were waiting on. We told him then if it wasn't ready soon we would just get our check for our drinks and appetizer. About 5 more minutes we did receive our food. My chicken was COLD not hot like it would have been if it was what we were waiting on. He said for our waiting we would get a complementary desert. I ordered ooygooey cake, my husband declined. Our waiter never returned and we never received our desert. Another man brought our check. We barely made it back to parking before our 2 hours were up. Needless to say it was a horrible experience!!
