This was an added bonus stop on our way to the Vidalia Onion festival. Great food and service. Beautiful downtown building. Parking was semi easy as we pulled in at 5:35 pm. We had more choices, but the spots do fill up fast. We had the chicken and dumplings, fried pork, sides of collards, mac n cheese, mashed taters and broccoli casserole. All were delicious. My first collard experience. Would definitely get them again there. Will try elsewhere. Dessert were phenomenal. The only drawback was the dinning area. Seemed very tourist-y but not a lot of tourists. Very casual in attire. Highly recommend
Our server ANTNEY was very good, he had great attitude definitely would request to have him again has my server. The food was delicious definitely worth every pennie. I highly recommend this restaurant if you our un Savannah georgia.

Antney took great care of us, he made phenomenal recommendations and was extra careful to account for my food allergies. Amazing service, thank you ?Dietary restrictions: The restaurant has an allergy sheet that makes it really easy to tell what is safe or not and Antney went above and beyond to check on a few things to make sure I had the best and safest meal.

This is a must! If you get the chance go! If you cannot eat a lot it may be a waste so go hungry! Cheesy biscuits to start, this is an all you can eat situation. Pick your meats and sides they just keep bringing it. We had fried chicken and pulled pork our sides were sweet potatoes fried okra brocoli casserole Mac and cheese. Not a fan of okra so that wasn't for me I could have ate nothing but the broccoli casserole. Desert options are only a few and we didn't save room our awesome amazing server packed us a doggie bag with our desserts and shipped us off with cups of coffee for our trip. Ooey gooey cake omg! Vanilla to die for not a fan of chocolate I can say it was super super moist. Banana pudding was great too but was disappointed it was not her chess men recipe. Overall hands down would go again glad there is not one near me or I'd be huge!
Everything was low quality ingredients with at most average food. It gave me a stomach ache for the whole night and I didn't get any sleep.

My disappointment started upon entry to the restaurant. I dropped my mother and her friend at the front door while I went to find parking. (both ladies are 82 years old and using a cane for support ). They asked to be seated while I parked and was refused a seat by the hostess. The reason given is that it’s their policy to not seat until the whole party is present. Mind you there was only 2 other people being served dinner at the time. Not consideration was given to these 2 elderly women. That set a negative tone for the entire dining experience. The servers we had were nice. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered catfish, fried chicken, okra, collards, candied yams, and creamed corn. The fish tasted like it was cooked in old oil. The candied yams weren’t candied yams. They were mashed sweet potatoes. The okra was inedible as it was fried too hard. The collard greens a huge disappointment.I definitely will not dine there again and absolutely do not recommend for anyone looking to experience southern hospitality and good food.We dined at this establishment on May 1, 2024.
Melissa is the kindest waitress!
