We come here every time we visit. However, it's more of the building and the story behind it. The food is average, and we've never had excellent service in the 6 or 7 times here. Every time, I've had to flag someone down to get a coke refill.They do have the best biscuits and cornbread!

me and my partner went for dinner. the portions are HUGE so well worth the money for the quantity of food. i got the honey pecan fried chicken with mixed vegetables and mashed sweet potatoes, the potatoes were amazing but the chicken was very greasy and it made my vegetables greasy. my partner got the shrimp pasta which he said was also greasy but the shrimp was huge. they did accommodate my seafood allergy too and reassured me i wouldnt need to worry about me too, which was nice.Dietary restrictions: i am allergic to seafood, and they accommodated said allergy very well.

I highly recommend this restaurant.This historic gem is a great place to dine. Very original flavors and cooked to perfection meals, great presentation as well.They have a huge variety of gluten free options.The broccolini, mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes were fabulous.The waiters were great, we had a wonderful evening and prices were reasonable.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free options and delicious cooked vegetables.
This is one of the best restaurants on the riverfront in Savannah. The food was top notch! Beyond excellent. Service was friendly, prompt and courteous. I highly recommend this establishment.

SAY YES YES YES to eating here!!!!! History, Southern food all you can eat lunch buffet, friendly staff... need I say anymore!!!! OK fine the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, mash potatoes, gravy, collard greens all on the buffet line was beyond delicious!!! Lots more options also on the buffet!! Even food on the regular menu was so good! ? this place is a must! I always asked for the remainder of my cornbread muffins and biscuits to go also great snack for later!!!
Our server was awesome. The dude with the broken finger. lol.Food was delicious. This is such a neat establishment. Lots of little rooms to eat in so you don’t feel like you’re in a massive modern restaurant. I wish there were more restaurants like this, even if they are new builds. I think the days of big, open concept, and loud, are over.
Food was really good. I had the salmon and enjoyed it. We only had a few options as we went with a tour. Drinks were great and service was great.
