The ShellHouse Seafood Restaurant

What a nice surprise. This place was near our hotel and we chose it because it was not a chain. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was awesome! We had the grilled mahi and the grilled shrimp kabob, both of which came with 2 sides. Every thing was cooked just right and seasoned nicely. Even the hush puppies were tasty. The portions were generous; the shrimp kabobs were 6 on a skewer and there were 4 skewers. We took home enough for another meal. Yes it’s a little pricy, but the quantity and quality food was well worth the price. We’ll be back!

Our experience was absolutely phenomenal!! The staff was amazing. The food was TOP TIER!!! Visiting from Conyers GA. Will share with everyone what an amazing experience we had.

Very large place, don't let the packed parking lot deter you. It was full when we came and we didn't have to wait. Service was great, good was great, no complaints. My Husband and I had a great date and left will full bellies :)

It wasn’t good for me. The food was so so. The sides taste better than the seafood. I’m from Myrtle beach where there is a crab Buffett on every corner. I have had much better seafood this place. The prices are too high for mediocre food. I spent 80 dollars for one person. I also ended up with an upset stomach after eating there. Spent the rest of the night on the toilet. The place smells bad. The parking is horrible. They automatically charge you a 4% CV fee so if you pay with cash be sure to let them know to take that off the bill. I won’t be returning.

Food was a disappointment my brother ordered the alligator and it was battered crumbs seasoning of food was not good. It’s not good like it was before the fire.

We are local eaten here a few times, pricing seems high, (not sure if this is because of economy) eaten here before they closed for renovation I thought the place was fantastic after renovation atmosphere seemed off today main course was good but sides and appetizer felt like microwaved store bought I had the cheessticks, potato salad and corn on the cob crab delicious good seasoning, utensils and cups plus menu felt cheep and so did the atmosphere I dont have a great memory but my time here before renovation
Seemed amazing 5 star all around, going there after it reopened really felt like the restaurant was struggling not sure if this is the case or im just being picky tonight but I felt like I needed to leave a review so my next time eating here my experience will be how I remember it. Hope this helps for a true opinion if you as the employee and owners to see how the experience was. Loved the gator and turtles.
