The Smoking Egg Brunch Restaurant

Out for an appointment we'd just finished, we were looking for a local brunch spot and found this place.
Immediately greeted by super friendly, personable staff and fun music, I was excited to see some creole and many southern specialties on the menu.
I ordered the fried green tomatoes with a couple of eggs to throw on top and my husband ordered the shrimp and grits and we both had black coffee. We were beyond pleased... everything was perfect.
Efficient, friendly service, delicious food and great environment.
We'll be back!!

Had a delicious omelet where I could choose my own ingredients! Also tried the Shrimp & Grits which were perfect! Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. (The oxtails sound amazing)

Deciding on a breakfast place, I came across this restaurant- I didn't realize I had added it to my 'want to go to' list. The experience was great. From the time we entered the restaurant until we left. Everyone was friendly, greeted us in and out. Our waitress, Kiki was nice. Had a small issue with my food and it was fixed without issue/complaint. The owner even came over. The vibe the entire time was great. The RnB music was a nice touch. Real simple vibe. Affordable prices. The food was delicious, seasoned. We ordered: omelets with grits and hasbrown. Added a crab cake (could've been hotter). Out of the many breakfast places we've eaten, my man cleaned his plate and didn't have any complaints. Will return to try something else. Nice little gem.

This was my husband's and I first time visiting. Greeted at the door which I love. I ordered salmon croquettes with grits and eggs. I didn't care to much for the grits because they had too much whipping cream in them but everything else was delicious. My husband ordered pancakes with bacon. Pancakes were delicious (of course I tried them). The atmosphere was awesome, good R&B playing. I song every song. Lastly our server Tasia was delightful. Good energy, knowledgeable of the menu and food. We will definitely be back.

This place is not close to my home or work but I'm going to make the trip to try some more off the menu. My husband and I both had the shrimp and grits and it was perfect! Good sized shrimp, tender and not overcooked, slices of a andouille sausage, and plenty of peppers and onions. It wasn't spicy but so flavorful.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially our server Tajha.

It’s always a pleasure to support locals and even more when it’s so good like this one. Shrimp and grits, fish and grits, and crab cakes were nothing but delicious. The best brunch ever. I kept hearing about this place on the radio. I was in Savannah and I decided to go and order me the shrimp and grits. Omg, it was so good. I got my food to go and I couldn't wait to get back to Hardeeville so I could dive in. I told everyone about this place and I will be bringing some of my family members back.
