Extremely disappointed in the complete lack of communication and unprofessionalism of Thrive Catering. My fiancé and I contacted them on June 2nd to try to secure them for our December wedding. We had a conference call with them on June 6th and was told we would hear back from them soon and we had a soft hold on our date. At that time we were not told that anybody else showed any interest in or had a soft hold on our date. We emailed them on June 19th because we had not received any response from them at all. June 26th I called them around 1030 am and was told that our contact had been on vacation and they had the proposal put together and a manager had to review it and we would be receiving it soon. That was June 26th. On July 7th we still had not received any proposal or communication. My fiancé called the company directly on the morning of July 7th and was told someone else had secured the same date of our wedding and they were no longer available to cater our wedding. My fiancé was most certainly heart broken!!! I am extremely disappointed in the complete lack of communication and the unprofessionalism of this company!! The only communication we had was when he had to call them even though we were told they would be back in touch only for us to get crickets from them. It just feels like a bigger job came along so they kicked us to the curb. Extremely unprofessional and I would never recommend this company!!!!! I would give them negative stars if I could!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Thrive Catering! All of the staff were very professional and did an amazing job for our corporate event. Everyone who came to the event loved the food and gave us a ton of compliments. Would highly recommend for your next Savannah, GA event!

Thrive is amazing. They catered an almost entirely vegan wedding for us in April. We were pretty skeptical that anyone in Savannah would be up to making good vegan food, especially coming from NYC, but we were extremely pleasantly surprised and happy with Thrive from our first tasting with them. We did ultimately go with a largely Southeast asian set of hors d'oeuvres and an Indian-focused dinner menu, but we really loved almost everything we tasted. I will say we recommend doing a second tasting if you change things - we did a last-minute pivot on a couple of dishes and in retrospect I wish we had sent some example recipes. One of our last minute requests to add Kurkuri Bhindi was fantastic and actually our favorite dish they made of all, but another dish we asked to add, a dal tadka, was just ok and used green lentils instead of yellow or red and wasn't as flavorful but that's really our fault for not sharing a recipe. They are also really a joy to work with, such nice people. We did a buffet dinner but they also brought plates to our bride & grooms table, although it was a bit later than we expected after half the guests had gone through - we were working up an appetite seeing all the good food on everyone's plate! Our guests loved the food on the day of and are still bringing it up to us now, so that says everything you need to know. Thank you Thrive!

I chose Thrive Catering for my wedding after finding it on a recommended vendors list and reading reviews. The employees were all nice-- Anna Kate was our head contact and she was amazing. She helped accommodate a lot of special requests from me and was always quick to reply to my emails with answers. The guests at the wedding all raved about the food-- everyone is still mentioning how great the lamb was.

Thrive catering and Anna Kate were excellent in the lead-up to the wedding, and the food was great. However, the aftermath with Thrive was disappointing. Despite my choice of a buffet for efficiency, they had a single server plating food, causing delays. Some guests with specified dietary needs were denied their vegan/vegetarian meals. And most regrettably, Thrive charged the card on file over $2,000 the day after the wedding without any prior notice or invoice, citing an elevated guest count per the contract in a passive-aggressive email. While I did not appreciate the email, I was appreciative that Thrive was able to accommodate the extra guests that showed up and am thankful for their quick thinking day of.

Thrive was mostly a good experience. The employees I encountered were all very professional and prompt and Chef Wendy can really throw together a great menu.

5 Stars – Exceptional Wedding Catering!

We hired Thrive Catering for our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the very first consultation, they were professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful in crafting a menu that fit our tastes and budget perfectly.

On the big day, everything was flawless. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, beautifully presented, and a huge hit with all of our guests. We received so many compliments on the variety and quality of the dishes.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure the service was seamless. They were friendly, efficient, and made everyone feel well taken care of. They were timely, organized and efficient.

If you're looking for a catering company that delivers both amazing food and exceptional service, look no further than Thrive Catering. They helped make our wedding day unforgettable!

Thrive has catered our holiday party (300 people) for the last two years and has exceeded our expectations. I fully trust their team to run the food, which is one less thing for us to worry about. Thank you Thrive!

We used Thrive to cater our family union celebration in August 2024. Guests enjoyed the food options, but my husband and I had a less than favorable experience with this company.

We scheduled a tasting a few months prior. Thrive was an approved vendor for The Clyde Venue, so there was a level of trust we had without having conversations with the caterer because of how well the venue was providing services to us as humans, and not as walking dollar signs.

The tasting went well. The form filled ahead of time was a bit overwhelming with the amount of options, but it’s better to have too many choices than not enough, which was awesome to see.

After the tasting, we had a consultation with a coordinator to select our menu options and discuss price point, we had a strict budget to stick to.

When we submitted our deposit, there was an issue with the payment. It wasn’t until I had the conversation with the vendor did I notice that we were charged more then the payment we discussed to pay, hence the payment not going through. We were charged an additional tent fee because The Clyde did not have a kitchen. Something we know from the Clyde, but we didn’t know we would be charged an addition fee- neither the Clyde nor Thrive told us. At this point, we had a conversation with the owner and expressed our grievances for, what felt like, unethical business practices in relation to lack of communication regarding payment. We paid the fee anyways.

Fast forward to our event, and the some of the food didn’t look or taste anything like what we sampled. We understand cooking in bulk is different than a sample, but I was very disappointed. The caterers also left quickly when their time was done, so we didn’t have a chance to thank them. My guests mentioned they did not see a “tent”.

After writing a review for the Clyde, we were contacted by our day of coordinator who was also confused about the fee we were charged. She reached out to thrive and resolved the issue for us, but it, again, felt like we were being taken advantage of which is something that felt icky for us the whole time.

Unsure if we would use this company again, but they didn’t not meet our expectations.

Y’all, this was the best wedding food I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy. Jordan and McKenzie chose the catfish and grits, along with other sides, and it was simply amazing. Not to mention the appetizers they served during cocktail hour! Your guests will thank you for this catering choice. Thank you Daphne and crew for the excellent food and service.

Fabulous food for our wedding!
Recommend the fried chicken and beef tips. And key lime pie singles for dessert :)
Fantastic service start to finish. So many complements on the food at our wedding! 5/5 stars.

I had previously attended two events catered by Thrive; consequently, I knew I would be pleased due to their food and professional service. The planning of our party was made easy with the detailed menu options and services needed - every question and concern was answered politely. My family and I were extremely impressed with the varied and unique food selections and the creative presentation as well as the polite and professional staff. We had engaged our own bartender who had to cancel for health issues 36 hours before event, so a call to Thrive resulted in their efficient and experienced bartender. The event ran so smoothly that even the hosts enjoyed the party! Thrive is an impressive catering company - our compliments on your deserved success!

There is very good reason Thrive Catering is on our short list of suggested vendors. We know our clients will receive the same level of quality service and delicious food every single time we work with them. From Josh's personable care of providing a plate of apps for the bride and groom who were having photos done to Daphne answering my many, many requests for random things that guests needed to Emma and her teammates efficient setting and clearing of tables to the fantastic kitchen staff making sure all the food was hot, tasty and efficiently served- the whole experience with Thrive made for such a fabulous event. I cannot thank you all enough!! Brittany- Ivory and Beau

Where do I even begin to thank the team at Thrive? They single handedly (not really as there were quite a few hands helping) helped pull off a wonderful event at Mackey House this weekend. Despite there being 190 guests and doing food stations, there was never a long wait, nor did they run out of food. There were plenty of servers to clear plates so tables stayed pretty.

Daphne and Emma specifically, were SUCH a help when the late night snack of pizza arrived a full hour early. They had the pizzas sliced and served in no time, much to the delight of guests.

I went home from evening of wedding joy to check my files to see when was the next time I had clients that had booked Thrive. Good thing it's only a couple weeks! Thank you so much for ensuring my client's event went off so smoothly!!
