Hadn't been here for a while, so I decided to step in and see what was available. To my disappointment, no more sandwiches, which were delicious and the baked goods were little to none. Needless to say, I won't be returning until more options are available. The gumbo I ended up getting was not very good....again disappointment.

Adorable, cozy place in a restored house with specialty coffee drinks and delicious fresh made Venezuelan arepas, breakfast, two different lunch entrees, and a salad option. (Arepas: think really thick grits cakes if you're not familiar) Portions are filling, but not particularly large. Best deal are the plates that come with a juice. Lunch for 4 cost $96, so not cheap, but fresh and still highly recommended. There's an adjacent parking lot, but limited spaces. Great outdoor seating on a private rear deck or streetside on the front porch. Go for the coffee, stay for the atmosphere, food, and great service.

Completely disappointed, the experience is completely mediocre. The chairs might look good but they are old and they barely have some support. We went there looking for empanadas, maybe they had then at some point because the web search took us there but they don't have them now. The order of tequeños is just ridiculous. The kids tequeños and the regular ones are exactly the same size, but they overcharge you just to put them on a different plate. The arepa we order, had cilantro as garnish and that's it, just three leafs of cilantro, period, that for example is something you'll never see happening in Venezuela, obviously, because it would be considered a major disrespect for the diner and ridiculous in our culture. The service is definitely better than the food. However, we were waiting for the check for about 10 minutes. They were having trouble with their system, so they were trying to make us pay through zelle instead. If you are looking to expand your horizon and you're not from Venezuela you might like it, but if Venezuela is you homeland and you're used to eat actual food with actual flavor and just stuff inside of your arepas, just skip it because you'll end up as disappointed as I am and paying $80 in 8 tequeños and 2 arepas.

We loved Troupial! We felt like we were at a fine dining brunch with the fine china and fancy water glasses. The coffee, drinks, food and pastries were great! We can’t wait to back!
What a find. Cute spot, very low key. Delicious food. Hard to find arepas in GA but you’ll find em here. Kind and attentive staff. Recommend their breakfast and coffee which you can choose your brewing method for ❤️

We came from Orlando, FL, and what can I say? The food was amazing, and the service was wonderful. Thank you, Natasha, and all the staff for making us remember one of our beautiful Venezuelan traditions, our food. Thanks.

The place is nice and with very good decoration inside where I sat.The friendliness and attention of the staff is far superior to most restaurants of its kind that I have been able to visit in the United States.I ordered the golfeado and it had the flavor that I remember from Venezuela. A mango juice that seemed like they took the mangoes from the tree and made it fresh for me.I will return to have a coffee that they make with cream punch ice cream and Diplomatic Rum.In value for me it was fair taking into account the cleanliness of the place, decoration, excellent service and the quality and presentation of the foodThe place is nice and with very good decoration in its inside area where I sat.The friendliness and attention of the staff is far superior to most restaurants of its kind that I have been able to visit in the United States.I ordered the golfeado and this had the flavor that I remember from Venezuela. Hidden in an old street around Starland District, this place is a great option to hang out with friends of family while enjoying real, delicious Venezuelan food. The staff is super friendly, just by looking how hard everyone works to make you feel like home, you can tell how much they love their job. To start, we ordered beef and potato pastelitos, tequeños, almojábanas and French and butter with eggs for our main course. Coffee was great and is a perfect complement to your meal. If you drop by, you can’t go wrong with the arepas. Wish we had more photos but it was so delicious we couldn’t wait ?Recommended 100%!
