I was supposed to receive a refund for not receiving my app because it was sold out on my visit for dinner on January 1st. They only came over much later to ask if I would swap the app, but I had already ordered 3 others and the ramen was already out to most of my party. Also, my entree arrived much later than my party of 5 after I had to ask where it was. This was well after being promised a refund for the app and the manager coming over even to get my email address and it seemed they had just forgotten to make mine because tables that arrived later were already receiving their full orders of ramen. I tipped extremely well before we were served since you have to pay at the counter before sitting down. I am usually patient especially when it was busy that night, but I am very unhappy with my experience and that this was not resolved 2 weeks later. Would not recommend for the price and service. We paid well more than a full service restaurant. Will not be back.

Went to this place for my 17th birthday with my friends and we just keep coming back! The atmosphere, the food, the service is all amazing! My favorite server, Hawk, is the peak server I’ve met in so long!! Hope that dude gets a raise or something!

It's a "blink and you just might miss it" kinda spot but so worth the try. YATAI is THE SPOT to catch a quick bite for those in love with Japanese comfort food and anime entertainment. Hawk (the absolute GEM) was quick to get us comfortable and situated to enjoy our meal and the speed of service surprised me. Not that I would have minded a wait as the atmosphere had so much for me to take in. A different anime on each screen and subtitles for all with figurines set above to play the game of "Wait, where do I KNOW that from?" (Can you guess them all?) And the fooooood. I came back SPECIFICALLY for the Takoyaki. The Gyoza was perfection and the Pork Belly buns are absolutely delicious. I'd have to say my favorite thing on the menu is being able to build your own delicious Ramen bowl from the menu. And trust me, this is nothing like your standard instant Ramen. This made me want to come back and keep trying new combinations. I've found so far that their Tonkatsu and Shoyu are going to be favorites. The drink selection is on point too, and I don't even mean alcohol. It's a lot to cram in here and you'll have to come see it yourself but I can attest that it's worth it. I know I'll be back.
They have lots of options to customize your bowl. I ordered the Udon stir fry with steak and husband ordered a ramen bowl with chicken which he liked. When the steak stir fry came out, there was a long black hair in it. We told the cashier and they remade it but never offered anything further. The ramen was decent but not as flavorful as I would have hoped. Would recommend elsewhere for ramen and stir fry. The murals and decorations inside were cool.

If you don’t enjoy tasteless ramen, upset stomach and super loud music while dining then this is not the place for you. I love me some ramen but I ate here yesterday and the broth had zero flavors. It’s 5.39am and I have serious indigestion. Also there was a bug walking on my dish which made me not finish my meal. Overall I do not recommend. Plus parking downtown Savannah to get to the restaurant was a nightmare. If you feel like you wanna try this place out.. uber there.
