I haven't been to Smyrna in years, but decided to make this trip. The place was quite small but we still felt comfortable enough. The proximity to other tables actually generated some side conversation, which was nice. The food was really good. Definitely tasted fresh and homemade. They had live music (i.e., an artist singing) the entire night, which was a nice touch. Service could have been better. We had a reservation for 715pm and showed up at 720pm. They said that we missed our reservation for 7pm and didn't respond to their check-in text that was sent at 7pm. Well, I was driving to get there by 715pm....beyond that the server had a bit of an attitude, but got friendlier as we built rapport. Parking situation was okay but most of us parked across the street and on adjacent lots. A bit unnerving at first, but no issues. I'm definitely coming back....

One of the most authentic italian places around Smyrna!! It is a MUST TRY. The muscles & chicken piccata are my every time orders. Wine is incredibly fresh too! Don’t forget to try their deserts (made in house)

I went here with some work colleagues! I had never been as I am from out of state. I was looking for some big building like from a restaurant chain, and was surprised to see a small place in a little strip of stores. Don't be fooled by the appearance, The staff was super nice, very attentive and the food was very good! I would definitely go back again!

I was in town for a few days getting some writing done and decided to stay in Marietta. My friend who lives in Atlanta suggested we meet up for dinner at Mezza Luna and so we made a reservation. Last minute she had to cancel but I was still hungry (a girls gotta eat) so made sure to order some take out. There's a reason that this place is called the best Italian in the state of Georgia. The pasta here is fresh and even though I didn't die in the in, the decor is quaint and feels like old world Italian. Definitely a cool spot to take a date for a romantic dinner. I ordered takeout directly through the Yelp app and then drove the 15 minutes over to the restaurant. Food was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. A full order of the papardelle bolognese, which is one of the most popular dishes, fed me for 2 days. And it was delicious. I mean you really can't beat fresh pasta. It was tender and delicate. The sauce is flavorful and well seasoned and came with just the right amount of additional parmesan and fresh herbs. They also provided a piece of their focaccia bread to go with my order. The bread was very soft and a little bit doughy to my liking but definitely was a nice addition when toasted a bit. Next time I'm in the area I fully intend to dine in to get the full experience.

Excellent as usual. This is my third time bidding Mezza Luna and each time the food, service and ambiance has been excellent. The staff is excellent.

The best Italian food in the metro Atlanta area. Very authentic. Can't recommend it enough!

Best Italian food in all of Georgia. we have eaten in multiple Italian places, but honestly, nothing comes as close to the authentic Italian like this place does. My husband ordered the spicy Italian pasta with only veggies, I ordered two spaghetti dishes with a side of meatballs, absolutely exquisite. We ordered their lemon cake and their tiramisu for dessert, so stinking good!

The pasta was perfectly cooked and the flavor was very authentic! The tomato soup was also phenomenal. Very clean restaurant.

Was craving some Italian food, did a google search, this place came up and had good reviews so my son and I went here for dinner. We did not have a reservation but they did seat us at the bar pretty quickly. It was actually fun sitting there as you could see all the action and the food being made. The place got packed pretty quickly and there seemed to be a lot of repeat customers as the staff knew a lot of the customers coming in. My son got the special - Lobster Ravioli's, which he said were good, but not $45 dollars good. I got the Salmon Picatta (spelling??) and substituted sautéed vegetables for the pasta. The Salmon was cooked to perfection, had a nice crispy crust and the inside was moist, the vegetables were delicious!! Service was great, although it was hard to hear what our server was saying as it is a small restaurant and does get loud. Will I go back, most definitely, they have a lobster bisque that I regret not getting!!
