Overall an excellent experience!

One of the best sushi restaurants in the state! Everything tastes great, and the family who own and run it take great pride in the service and quality. The ginger dressing is hand made every day. Ask for the KC roll or the caterpillar roll, or just have the sushi lunch.

The sashimi piece on top of the nigiri is larger than most traditional sushi so it’s a happy place here. Service is good too. Only thing is the place is hidden and a little hard to find. It’s on the back side of a building down a steep parking lot hill.

Walu escolar is banned in japan, i dont know why they sell it at minato.

Portions were good. Prices reasonable. Sushi was great. Big slices of fish. Really liked the yaki udon for the kids as well. We will be going back often. We went during the lunch rush and would like to try dinner also. We were seated at a little table in an alcove and it was cozy and nice atmosphere. Kids liked the fish tank and the bridge inside.

5 star all the way. Had to share prior to finishing dinner. Can’t believe we’ve lived in the community a long time and did not know about this place. Quality.

Holy swole Batman, the portions are massive. I phoned in an order simply asking for the favorite items and was not disappointed at all.
The portions are very worth any dollars you may spend. The no name roll pieces were delicious with a little crunch to give that extra texture.

It's not a sushi place, it's minato. The fun is to sit at the bar with Kevin and try some off menu items (no name sushi, Kevin #2, cowboy hat). Get here for dinner when they open or be ready for a wait.
