In terms of overall flavor is was not bad. As always, I felt that some dishes were better than others but what really boosted the score for me was the specialties that go beyond your average Mexican restaurant and even unique ones. One of the biggest examples being the heart-shaped taco platter and birria pizza, both of which are more common in the west. Though I wish I would have tried more food, I think I got a pretty good idea of the food. I won't say it is the best but it is pretty darn good. Overall, definitely worth eating at!
Birria Taco 10/10: I think some people may have their preferences when it comes to birria tacos, but this one was definitely one of my favorites. That is mainly because of the right cheese to meat ratio. Oftentimes, they overload with a lot of cheese, which masks the true deep flavors of the meat. In this case, it was a nice mix that allow me to really taste the birria flavor not only on the meat but also on the tortilla itself. I think the consommé was not necessarily unique but still paired nicely with the taco.
Taco Platter 8.5/10: I got the barbacoa, carne asada, and chicken proteins. The platter came with rice and beans. I think the beans were somewhat above decent. They were not too watery and had a decent amount of salt. The rice could have used more salt and seasoning. Now, in terms of the meats, I was quite disappointed in the flavors of the carne asada and barbacoa. Their flavor and smokiness were very faint, so I had to rely on sauces to really enjoy it. What was interesting is that the chicken actually tasted better than both of the meats! That's not too common but this chicken was quite juicy, abundant, and very flavorful. I would love to try the other proteins to see how they compare to this very flavorful chicken!

Food was bad man. Lol. I ordered one of every taco. Biriria was semi decent. Steak was bland, chicken was bland and dry. Shrimp and Fish was hard. Pork was dry, service was the best part. Don’t waste your money yall
Trust my word, I’ve been around the globe and this place serves some of the best food I’ve ever had. Their Birria Pizza is unbelievably good, and the value-to-taste ratio is mind-blowing. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and their agua frescas are amazing too. Please do yourself a favor and take a trip to food heaven, it honestly feels like they hired a team of angels to hand-press pure joy into food form.

I gave specific instructions on my order — no onions on tacos or any toppings besides lettuce and cheese — through DoorDash, and I also called Tacos La Villa to confirm this. They told me they would take care of it. When I got my food though, it had all the toppings I asked not to receive, and they even gave me the wrong drink. I will not return. I am pregnant and asked for my food to be made specifically.
