Just went for the first time, and it was great! I had the veal parmesan and it was Faltastic! Service was great, food came out quick. The atmosphere is a little odd, small place but it is cozy. We both loved it and will be back!

A hidden gem. The food and service was wonderful. Our waitress Madeline was very personable. The pasta dishes were hearty and flavorful. I highly recommend.

We celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary on a Wednesday night. They warmly welcomed us even though we didn't have reservations. The chicken piccata was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the broccolini, tomato, mushroom side vegetable was not over cooked, but hot and generous and enough for two to share. My husband had the chicken parmesan, and we both switched out the spagetti that was on the menu to the fettucini made in house. They are known for their fresh pasta. The TV's played a travel video of Italy which was a nice departure from sports or news. The music was Italian as far as I know, definitely not pop culture. The tables are close together because it is a small intimate space. Our waitress was attentive and cheerful. We will definitely be back!

Restaurants that charge fees for non-cash payment are gross. Considering the price of a meal, it's basically a mandatory upcharge (like a hotel's scuzzy "Resort Fee") and all restaurants should just be honest and add swipe fees to their menu prices. (I see another poster here has called them out for this.) Normally I give restaurants who charge these fees 1 or 2 pips. I'll give this one a break because - my impression - most of the folks whom I saw dining there seemed to be locals / regulars: they already know the deal, and either eat the fee or visit the ATM. So I'll give it 4 pips. The pasta was excellent - my strong guess is homemade - and the sauce cared for. I've been to Rome many times, and this is as authentic as I've had in the US outside of NY or Chicago. I felt the dish (Amatriciana) was a bit under-seasoned, and while that could be a mistake - or could be my taste - I think it was more that they were expecting a bit more seasoning in the batch of pork cheeks they ended up with.

Quality handmade pasta. Terrific seafood and Italian specialties. Desserts are amazing, especially the brûlée cheesecake. Nice spot for dinner.

This is now my husband’s favorite restaurant. He’s a fanatic about Italian food and orders gnocchi at every opportunity. He likened his meal here to the outstanding ones he’d had in Florence, Italy and in Little Italy in New York City. I ordered the Chicken Piccata and was just as pleased. Stefano, our waiter, was exceptional.

First of all you will be greeted with big smile and warm welcome. Servers were extremely friendly and introduced their special menu. Foods were marinated with exotic taste and had deep classy feeling. Absolutely loved it.

Excellent food and professional service. Wonderful pasta and great wine list. The antipasti is huge. I would come here regularly if I lived locally.

Live in Sandy Springs but drove to Smyrna to try this neighborhood spot. Great food. Had the bruschetta and chicken piccata and then a little tiramisu for dessert. All good. Nice vibe. Friendly people. Definitely a popular spot. Wish they were located in Sandy Springs.

But the last time we ate here, a bug flew out of my mussels when the warming lid was removed. Sad to say, I couldn’t eat it at all.

I like the food here. As an ex New Yorker, this is as close to a New York style southern Italian restaurant as you can find in the area. Having said that I will never eat here again. Without any notice or warning on the menu or website, when I received the bill a surcharge of about 3.8% was added to the bill for "non cash payment." I have never seen or had this happen in any restaurant, and frankly it is outrageous. I do not want to have to bring $200 cash to pay for a restaurant bill. No thanks, never again, and to any reading this review, "buyer beware."

I went to the first restaurant the night before and met the owner Antonio. Great guy and very attentive to the business. He recommended the duck ragu with paccheri. I went tonight to try their other restaurant and it did not disappoint. Antonio's wife was sweet but I must say MIca the server was tremendous and very sweet. Excellent service

Mezza Luna – beware: dead fly on food and bad service I’ll start by saying 2 things: a) rude waitress and did not want to repeat the special of the day while being inconsiderate to my baby and b) found a half dead fly in the pasta dish. I used to love this place and celebrated bdays twice but after the bad treatment and fly on our food this past Saturday I will not ever go back. IF you want to read the whole story see below. On this past Saturday July 31st we went to Mezza Luna to celebrate my parents 56th anniversary and brought our 16 month old baby with us. The night started ok when they were accommodating about joining 2 tables for us but it got bad when the waitress told me she was not going to repeat the specials as I was attending my baby that was sitting on the stroller and wanted more bread. I will mention that when we sat down first she rushed into stating the and got annoyed when she started to describe the 2nd dish and I had asked her to slow down so I could translate into Spanish to my parents but then she said she could do it in Spanish, so when we switched back to English for my husband and I to listen to her, that’s when she became rude and said she will not repeat it again. I thought that was very rude and lack of consideration for someone that is dealing with a baby. She did not even say are u ready to listen to the specials and was not patient at all, she seemed to be in a rush the whole night and there was no reason for that since the restaurant was more than ½ empty. When I went to the bar area to talk to ask for a manager I was told by a heavy size and tall man that he was the owner and that waitress was the co-owner and the waitress/co-owner said that she had already told me the menu twice and was getting our bread and that if we wanted to leave to go ahead and leave, not any apologies. I said we will not leave and to just forget it and deal with it, although I wish I had but did not want to look for another place to eat at 9PM with a baby at that time. After we resettled in our table, I asked her for more bread for us since my baby loved the bread and she said that no, that our food was already on the way and that they will charge us additional since she had already brought 2 baskets of bread. I was shocked about that when the baskets of bread were very small and my baby already had finished ½ of it on her own. These was also not th bread that they used to put in the table some time back, it was a much smaller portion. Then the worst part of the night came, when my mom was eating her pasta with funghi sauce and sees a bug in the food. It was a fly that was moving up and down the plate very slowly and we just covered it with a napkin and asked the waitress to come and see it. Her respond was I am sorry there are flies that come and I do not have control of that. While there was a fly surrounding our table I told her this is not a fly that just landed on our food, my mom got is from underneath the food and you can see it was almost dead and we covered it with a napkin and I had shown that to the waiter that came to pick it up. I was so shocked about this co-owner/waitress lack of accountability and response to the fly incident, it was to her like no bi deal and she offered to exchange it but at that point we did not want a new dish anymore and were grossed out and concerned about the sanitation in the kitchen and if she would just transfer the food with fly to a new plate and pretend it was new. I was unable to eat my food neither because I got so grossed out and she only offer to take off the food with the fly from the bill. A very dissappointing experience at Mezza Luna, which now I call Mosca Luna (mosca = fly in spanish). Will never go back. Sharing this experience so you are aware of this and make your own judgement if you decide to go there. I will be calling the Health Department to report this incident. I also noted a very low turnout on Saturday. While we are still living in Covid times, the low turnout surprised me. Other places we tried in the area were fully booked, and I wonder if other

Second time eating here, the first time we had a waiter that was ok to good, but did have to ask for items and refills that should be normally done. Also, not very engaging. This time same waiter, and same behavior. Also, we made a reservation and when we arrived , the hostess told us that they moved our reservation by a half hour. Said they called , but actually never did or got the wrong number. The food is ok, service is ok, but not worth going back again.
