This Is It! Southern Kitchen & Bar-B-Q

I called 2 days before Thanksgiving and asked if they had chitterlings, and they said yes. I asked if I need to get them ahead of time, the day before Thanksgiving. They said no just get here early Thanksgiving. I drove an hour to get there this Thanksgiving morning at 10am when they opened only to be told they only have enough for an 8oz serving. Our Thanksgiving is not very happy at this point.

Stopped in with my family and gentleman was very nice. Food was great!! Wife is vegetarian and the sides here are vegetarian (except the baked beans).

Wow, so much food and delicious. Thoroughly loved the stuffing and the Mac and cheese. Turkey was really good as was the sweet potatoes.

I use to have wig shop in The Suites on Spring Road. One of the owners of This Is It would come in from time to time. This man told me he had a soul food restaurant near by and I visit it. I had been getting chitterlings from This Is It ever since for over approximately 12 years and previously I had no complaints. October 11, 2025, I drove 19 miles from my home, and 19 miles back. The chitterlings were not good. I phoned the restaurant and complained and was told they would replaced them. Today 10/18/25 I drove the 19 miles back. The chitterlings they also had today, were not good. They refused to give me my $34 back.

I ordered the catfish nuggets fried well but they were over cooked in old grease. The sweet potato souffle was brown with a pound of sugar and the cabbage greens were dark and over cooked. I was highly disappointed 😞. I won't be going back again. It use to be my favorite location when I lived in Smyrna. I threw most of the food in the trash and thats not something I would ever do is throw away food.

To start off, it smelled amazing when we first walked in and the guy who greeted us was very welcoming! I got the ribs with collard greens and mac and cheese with cornbread and my husband got the turkey and gravy with mashed potatoes and cornbread, it was delicious!! Safe to say we will back soon!

Food nasty , not good , bad customers service. The lady who rung my order up told me a price of a 10$ meal that i can get a wing and breast then the manger came out saying that will be 17$ like the other ones charge and ask the same thing but they saying they can’t after the lady already ring me up and asked me. I suggest people to go to the one on campcreek then this one horrible food tasting 4/10.

The food is not what it once was. My meal was horrible. The collads greens were pretty good. The dressing and mac and cheese 2 thumbs down. Mac and cheese was from a box and the dressing was stuffing. Both were somewhat watery. A waste of money. Not worth the money at all.

Amazing!!! Had the whole catfish, Mac n cheese and fried okra. They even threw in a free cornbread. Everything was delicious. And the peach cobbler is FIRE. He let us taste the sweet potato soufflé and that was good too.

Owner is always pleasant and exceeds customer service expectations. Food options are plentiful. The broccoli and rice souffle is highly recommended.

I ordered Liver dinner thru DoorDash and menu states it comes with rice and gravy but I didn't get them, just a dry piece of liver covered in onions, the cornbread dressing was nasty, like it had 6 cups of sugar and the green beans were ok
