Fratelli's NY Style pizza and restaurant

Had my dad’s birthday dinner here tonight. We were a party of 12 and Tabby was our waitress. She is FANTASTIC! Wonderful personality and very attentive service! The food was amazing, everything was just lovely! Thank you again Tabby!

This is the real deal Holyfield! The most authentic and luxurious Shrimp Scampi. The gluten free pizza and scampi is the best I've ever had. Not to mention smooth piano music. 5 star 🌟 experience.

FINALLY I found a place with GREAT pizza close to the house! By the slice at that! PERFECTLY made, the fresh garlic rolls while you wait too... OMG
Customer service was great from the door to the table. I need to try some of the other foods on the menu and if it's as good as the pizza was I may just forward my mail there...lol

Fratelli’s in Snellville has long been one of my go-to restaurants in the area. Over the years, I’ve found the food to be consistently excellent, with fresh ingredients, flavorful dishes, and a menu that delivers a satisfying experience every time. The service has also typically been very good—attentive, professional, and welcoming, which is part of what has made Fratelli’s a place I recommend to friends and family. For that reason, I was especially disappointed by what happened on my most recent visit this past Friday evening.

Fratelli’s is listed as being open until 10:00 p.m. We decided to stop by for a late dinner, arriving around 9:20. While I understand that arriving within the last 40 minutes of service can sometimes present challenges for a restaurant staff, I also believe that if a restaurant advertises that it is open until 10, customers arriving before closing time should expect the same courtesy and service as those who arrive earlier. Unfortunately, that did not happen for us.

When we walked in, the first thing I noticed was that there was no host or staff member at the front of the restaurant. The entryway was completely empty, and although we waited patiently, no one came to greet us. At first, I assumed the staff might be busy helping other tables, so I gave it a few minutes. But as the minutes passed—five, then ten—we were still standing there, unacknowledged. Servers walked past in the distance, but not one person stopped to greet us, ask if we had been helped, or even let us know if the restaurant was still seating. After waiting for nearly ten minutes with no acknowledgment whatsoever, we decided to leave.

This was frustrating because I know what Fratelli’s is capable of. As I said earlier, the food here is usually excellent. The pasta dishes are flavorful and well-seasoned, the pizzas are some of the best you’ll find in Snellville, and the portions are generous. On previous visits, the service has been prompt and friendly, with staff members making us feel welcome. That’s part of the reason why this experience was so jarring—it was completely out of line with the level of service I’ve come to expect from this restaurant.

I want to be clear: I understand that staff may have been preparing to close up, cleaning, or otherwise occupied. But even in those cases, a simple acknowledgment goes a long way. A quick “We’ll be right with you” or even letting us know if the kitchen had already closed would have been enough. Instead, we were left standing awkwardly in the entryway for ten minutes, feeling ignored and unwelcome. Eventually, we had no choice but to walk out.

In the end, I still believe Fratelli’s is one of the better restaurants in Snellville when it comes to food quality, and I’m hopeful this was just an off night. Everyone can have a slip-up, and perhaps it was a staffing issue or simple miscommunication. However, the experience did leave a sour note, and it’s something I hope the management addresses. After all, part of running a great restaurant is consistency—not just in the kitchen, but in the way customers are treated from the moment they walk through the door until the moment they leave.

For now, I’ll give Fratelli’s the benefit of the doubt, but I do hope that next time I visit—whether early in the evening or closer to closing time—the service matches the excellent food I know they can provide.

Had a great lunch today. Everyone ordered something different. Food was really good. Our waitress was over the top. Such a great selection of the menu.

All in all WE had a good experience ...FOOD was fantastic ...portions were right for the price ...waiting staff was a bit slow and several items needed to be addressed ...

Excellent food, service and prices. I am a NY'er living in Hotlanta and really feel at home in this restaurant. Good to see some good flava in the Grayson, GA area. A must try 😆😆

Late night on a Tuesday. Loved our server - Margrita Pizza and Strawberry Short cake. This place is a hidden gem. Crust on the pizza ...crunchy, light sauce, nice balance with flavors. My Strawberry shortcake...perfect..
Light cake, yummy whipped cream center with just enough strawberry on top... not to sweet or over powering my taste buds. Strong 9
