Of all the Mexican restaurants in Effingham County, this is by far THE BEST! We've tried them all and this is our favorite. The staff is always friendly. The food is always fresh and full of flavor. Laid back atmosphere with indoor and outdoor dining available. If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend you come try it out!

Stopped in for a quick bite after a track meet. The outside made me question the reviews. The food was great. The service was awesome. The food doesn't come out as fast as other similar places but who cares if it's great?!?

Our family tried El Ximandor for the first time last night and we were all very impressed. The food was all amazing! We can’t say enough about those churros, just wow!! This will be our new go to for Mexican!

My husband and I both thought our food was way too greasy. There was so much leftover oil in the skillet when we'd eaten down to the bottom that it made me feel a little queasy to look at it. Overall the food and service was decent, but I don't really understand all of the rave reviews. We've only been once, so maybe the person cooking was just a little heavy handed with the oil?

We've been eating here since they first opened. Great food and service. The only Mexican restaurant to eat in Effingham, absolutely the best! Can't say enough about this restaurant. I give this restaurant 5 stars! It shows I gave it a 3 star, that's wrong! It's a 5 for sure.

This was our first visit since this location opened. Outstanding! When we drove up it was packed and debated on even trying due to the thought of a long wait time. Thankfully we did go in! We were seated immediately. They took our drink orders and brought out a fresh basket of chips, piping hot and incredibly yummy. As we waited I was incredibly impressed by the efficiency of the staff. There was almost zero wait time in between tables as they were bussed immediately. I was incredibly excited to see they had lengua tacos on the menu! They were super flavorful and tender. I'm so happy I finally have a place to get my lengua fix!!! My husband ordered the beef fajitas which were honestly pretty epic! I'm excited to try other items as we all agreed we will be regular customers.
I have been here twice this week and I will be a regular patron!! The people and atmosphere is awesome and friendly! The food was authentic and just delicious! Shout out to the wait staff I had. Casey and José keep up the good work and keep smiling because you two are fantastic people!Parking: Located next to a strip mall with plenty of parking spaces available.Kid-friendliness: They were very attentive to the other patrons with children.

Visiting from out of state and hungry for Mexican food. El Ximador did not disappoint. Three adults and three different meals. The chicken taco salad was huge and the shell was tasty and not greasy. The enchiladas had a large amount of shredded chicken with large slices of avocado. A special was steak fajita baked potato. The server, Esmaralda, was very friendly and professional.

I was in the mood for Mexican food and thought that I would try this new place out! I decided to order takeout and when I arrived my food was ready! The inside is small but they have tables and a full bar. I was helped immediately and given my food quickly. The queso was good! The fajitas was a mixture of shrimp, steak and chicken and it did not have that much flavor. It was just a little flavorless. The beans, rice, pico de gallo, lettuce and sour cream were good. I may come in and try another dish or eat at the restaurant to have a better experience.
