Wife and I stopped in to. 401 West restaurant for dinner on our way beck home from JAX airport. Reading on line we learned this restaurant features local fare in its culinary and beer offerings. The entrance is upstairs and the outside deck seating overlooking the river was very nice. The service was a bit stretched, however the food was very good. The staff was friendly and the food (shrimp & grits / seafood pasta) was delicious. We ate our meal on the outside patio and the scenery was beautiful. I would definitely recommend.
The food & drinks are ah-mazing! I give it 4 1/2 stars but rounded up to 5. We came for dinner and returned for brunch. I love a good brunch and they didn't disappoint me. I'll say I definitely preferred their brunch menu. Brunch portions are large and you get your money's worth. However, their dinner portions are small for the price but still tasty.
