The food is okay and very overpriced! The service is dismal! came here several times & all times it Took forever to get served inside the restaurant bar and in the patio and tiki bars. worst service ever! Don’t recommend this place! Go across the street at South River Front where they have better food, reasonable prices and better service

I just exited Captain's restaurant and it was fantastic. The crab bisque is to die for highly recommended. I'll definitely come back again.

Sat outside on the front patio, can't beat the view. Our waitress was great, very attentive but not invasive! Food was just mediocre, salmon a little dry and not very flavorful, hush puppies really dark brown and hard. Crab soup was pretty good. We would go here again and try something different from the menu.

Both my kids said this was the best restaurant they've ever been to, and they never agree on anything! The grownups loved it, too. High-quality seafood, large portions, great value. My crab bisque was more crab than soup! We also recommend the cheese grits and hush puppies. Crab cakes, scallops, calamari, and fried fish all got rave reviews as well. We'll be back!

The location is definitely what will bring you here, can’t beat it in the beautiful town of St Mary’s. The food was mediocre, the bacon scallops really saved the entire experience because they were good. The waitress was awful, the restaurant was not busy and everything took 10-15 minutes for her to complete and that was if she remembered. Something as easy as a water, she just didn’t do. It was frustrating. I also ordered the lemon chill martini and it was horrible, but not worth waiting an extra 15 minutes to have the waitress figure it out. Overall, it is a beautiful location and probably could be pretty good with a decent service.

Valentine’s Dinner…1st timers…recommended by several. Decision: Overpriced Pub Food Atmosphere.Blackened Salmon Dinner +Crab CakeWith Asparagus & Hush PuppiesBlackened Jumbo ShrimpWith fries & Side SaladCup of Crab BisqueBlackened Salmon was the best thing we ate, crab cake was the worst (probably one of the worst we’ve ever eaten…right there with Dockside…disgusting), Hush Puppies were big but blackened as well, so too hard to eat and the honey butter didn’t help at all. Only received 3 asparagus spears as a side, WTW?Jumbo blackened shrimp was nice and jumbo, so well done. Fries were over salted frozen fries that covered the plate so nice size serving. The side salad was rather small, it made Longhorn’s side salad look like a whole meal. Would it kill someone to julienne the veggies for the salad better?Cup of bisque? $6? Okayish, but definitely had better and definitely not $6 worthy.Would we be back? Maybe…if this was where someone told us to meet, but lived here for 20+ just a couple miles away and this was our 1st time…we won’t be back anytime soon.

Called 2 days before New Years and requested reservation. Told not needed as first come first served. We went and did get seated but noticed they did accept reservations. Then we waited 30 mins and still no one approached our table… ever. I called another restaurant from the table and got immediate seating down the street. Never go to Seagles again.

Clean, quiet & quaint place....historical actually. We've eaten here on & off for past 30 years.Service was quite good, food was served fresh & hot, the portions reflective of cost;prices are reasonable for the area.
