I got a caramel macchiato that was basically hot water. Not one ounce of flavor. Took a few sips and tossed it out still hot. Will not go here again. However, the pastries are delicious. S’mores bar and kitchen sink bar are unique and worth it.

I love coming to our local coffee shop. Great coffee, pastries, lunch & friendliness. They bring in macaroons from a wonderful pastry shop in Fernaninda.

This was the first time we ate here and we were very pleased. Food was very good people were very friendly. The only thing I wish is they would use real plates instead of styrofoam. I hate the waste.

Had lunch here two days in a row. They were so kind and friendly and the food so good that I had to come back. Great coffee and sandwiches. The ham and cheese on pretzel roll was so good I had it twice. My husband really liked his Reuben as well. Baked goods were outstanding. If I lived here my waistline would be in trouble.

A very pleasant experience. The scones were amazing and the service was top notch. They have a collection of books and games available to entertain yourself or you can just sit and relax on the couch like I did over a cup of coffee. They also sell small craft items and artwork. A great local spot. I’ll definitely be back!!

My husband and I went to the Bug and Bean, we have gone there a total of three times since it opened but this morning really took the cake! When we got there the place did not have any customers. My husband said "good morning" as soon as we entered into the place and no one responded. I presumed that they probably did not hear him. There were three ladies behind the counter and none of them acknowledged us as we got to the counter. One lady left and went and sat on the sofa, I believe she was waiting on the Cintas delivery, the other two were behind the counter doing something, I could not tell what but they didn't appear to be having a good day. That's okay I get you can have a bad day. We stand at the counter waiting for about four or five minutes when the older lady asked what we wanted. She was not nice when she asked, she was actually a bit gruffy! We told her two 16 oz cappuccino's. One with vanilla, one with nothing and made with oat milk. She went to fix the two drinks that we ordered. I over heard her tell the younger lady to go in the back and get more oat milk, which she did. Then I heard her tell her, "I thought I would be short on this one". She finished making our order and set them up and said "here's your drink". We pick up our drinks and left. One the way home I asked my husband "was it just me, or were they rude?" He said "yes, they were." As we got home (a 10 minute drive) I opened my cappuccino and it was only 3/4 full and luke warm. My husbands was full but it too was luke warm and he said the vanilla was very faint. For the price we paid for two drinks both should have been hot and mine should have been full and not 3/4! The previous time we went there which was about a month ago, we got the cinnamon roll and coffee. We asked that the cinnamon roll be warmed up, we stayed there to eat it, it tasted stale and was just barely warm. We tossed them out and finished our coffee. We will not be going back to this business after today, there are other places to get a good cup of coffee and fresh pastries.Response to the owner: My review does not state what day we came in, please read it again and no I'm not mistaken on the shop. Your the only Bug and Bean in St. Marys, GA. I only do my reviews of places about one a month or so. Sunday was the day I actually put the review in, not the day that we went. Go check the one for Ops, it was also entered on Sunday.

Over-the-top nice place. Over the course of 1 week, we: sat around drinking coffee several times, purchased to-go sandwiches for the Cumberland Island boat once, purchased to-go sandwiches for dinner, plus bought more pastries than I'm willing to confess to. Everything we had was superb...but the people make the place fabulous. Great relaxed atmosphere.

Had a good cup of coffee there this week. Prices are decent, didn't try any of the pastries. Nice porch out front to sit on.

Good atmosphere. Looks so cozy that you just expect the staff to be friendly. ... The cashier was not. Breakfast was pretty bad, except for the meat.

This is our 2nd time trying bug and bean, my husband dissuading me from reviewing after our first visit but after our 2nd visit just now he agreed we needed to review. The coffee is just awful. Watered down with no taste despite the hefty cost. The baked goods are delicious no doubt but the food on the menu is old, microwaved and the sausage in the gravy literally tastes like dog food. We are very disappointed and totally stumped at the 5 star reviews.Kid-friendliness: There is a corner of the shop with a book shelf and blocks for kids to play with. But God forbid a child touches something with a price tag on it, the owner will freak out.
