Having just moved to the Statham/Winder area, we thought there wouldn’t be a lot of places we could frequent for dining out. I was hesitant to try Chen’s family because nobody was there and the building itself is rather unassuming. I have to say though, I’m glad I did. There’s not much to the dining area even though it is really clean. They were very friendly and served my food promptly with a smile. The reason it was empty was because most of their business (at least on a Sunday night) was take out. Even though they had a ton of orders and several pick ups, I still had great service!
The food was very reasonably priced and probably one of the top 3 best tasting Chinese I’ve had. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it was a bit warm in the dining room for an optimal experience. If you’re passing through the area it’s just a short detour off the beaten path. We will definitely make this a new favorite!

Our night at Chen's Family Restaurant was amazing! I got the Beef Mei Fun, and it was absolutely delicious! I also tried some of the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Crab Rangoon and they were also really good! It was some really good authentic Chinese food, and will definitely come again!
