My wife and I each got one plate off the buffet. Both had 1 meat and two vegetables. She had sweet tea and I had water. This cost us over $28. The fish was good. The slaw was store bought and terrible. The lady was not friendly at all. We did not know how everything worked as this was our first time there. It will be our last time there. If this lady is unhappy she should find a job that makes her happy. We were strangers and she sure took us in. Haha.
Thursday is the best wood grilled pork chops available anywhere.

This is a great little hole in the wall diner. Their lunch buffet had several meat and veggies as well as banana pudding. The smoked chicken legs and okra were surprisingly good. Not fancy but satisfied our "meat and three" craving. Tea was also good. We will come back again.

The Old House Restaurant is a hidden gem in Statham, GA. It's like going to eat at your Grandmother's house from the consistently delicious food, the kindness of the staff (who know most of their repeat customers by name), to the homey, cozy atmosphere of The Old House. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I love biscuits and gravy, but paying $6.50 for a burnt biscuit and a burnt piece of sausage with gravy that barely had a flavor is not what I was expecting! People were coming in and out like they are regulars and they liked it & prices seem to be all over! I paid $6.50 for this and a man walks in and orders three scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, a cup of coffee, and an order of home fries..$12.45 I think he got the better deal by far! What I got was unacceptable.After trying to eat, I could only make myself eat about 1/3 of the salty, floury, burnt combo?
