Shaved Ice Shack

If you want a refreshing treat I highly recommend swinging by here. They make everything fresh and it tastes amazing. They have a screened in back porch with plenty of seating and they have restrooms. Great place and rhey put lots more flavoring than Kona Ice does.

Super friendly staff, amazing shaved ice, the best we've ever had. We love taking people here, such a hidden gem if you're not a local. Clean bathrooms, very kid friendly, back deck has tons of games on it. Highly recommend

Best shaved ice I've had in awhile

This place is so clean and kid friendly. There are so many games, high chairs and decorations to keep kids busy and entertained. The guy at the counter was so helpful and offered free samples when we couldn’t decide on a flavor. We will definitely be back!

Flavors out of this world! Dreamcicle was phenomenal with cream! So many flavors to try, but I’d recommend to get it for there and not to go. Very nice employees, good vibes, great atmosphere.

I consider every breath of summer air a gift, but every now and then, the universe delivers a treat so divine it feels like the cosmos itself paused to say, “You deserve this.” Today, my friends, was such a day.

It began with a brush against the veil of death.

My daughter, freshly armed with a driver's learner permit and the inexperience of youth, was forced to chauffeur us. As we approached the unassuming oasis known as the Statham Shaved Ice Shack, she attempted a hard left into the small parking lot tucked beside the building. Though traffic was mercifully stopped at the nearby red light, the construction cones, uneven pavement, and the very real possibility of hitting a curb or taking out a traffic cone made the maneuver feel like an action scene from a low-budget car chase. I held my breath, clutched the door handle, and quietly said my goodbyes. But alas, she nailed the turn after having to back up in the road—and I lived to tell the tale.

Once my pulse returned to a survivable level, we ventured inside—and my heart was lifted by a beautifully snarky sign: “I don’t need Google. My wife knows everything.” At that moment, I knew I was among my people.

Then came the moment of truth: the Strawberry Cheesecake with Crème.

The first spoonful was an ambush of decadence. Cold, sweet, impossibly smooth. The strawberry danced with childhood innocence, while the cheesecake flavor—rich and slightly tangy—cut through like a grown-up reminder that pleasure can still be refined. And then, oh then, the crème. A silky, velvety drizzle of pure joy that wrapped the flavors together like a warm hug from a long-lost friend.

I retreated to the shaded refuge of the back porch, where two oversized fans roared on either side of me, producing wind speeds reminiscent of a Category 2 tornado. It was glorious. The Georgia heat dared to approach, but the swirling gusts and my icy treasure held it at bay. Each bite delivered a cooling jolt of delight, like finding buried treasure in an already enchanted land.

I tried to savor it slowly, but such perfection demands indulgence. My pace quickened. My heart raced. When I reached the bottom of the cup, a tragic emptiness overcame me—akin to finishing a great book or watching the credits roll on a movie that just healed something inside you.

And so, I ask myself:
1. Would I eat this again? I already dream of the next.
2. Would I drive out of my way, rerouting my entire day, just for another taste? Without hesitation.
3. If I were heartbroken, weary, or in need of a reminder that good things still exist in this world, would I turn to this icy masterpiece to lift my soul? Yes. Without shame. Without restraint.

Thank you, Statham Shaved Ice Shack, for this sacred gift in a styrofoam cup—and for helping me survive both construction zones and teenagers behind the wheel.
