Caribbean Cravings

I purchased an oxtails with rice n peas, the flavor was ok, but I wish I reminded them to add some gravy on the rice. Also the oxtails was a little tough. I didn’t really enjoy today’s batch. This is my first time getting dinner from them and I am a little disappointed. I usually buy their breakfast and it be good. So hopefully their oxtails will be more tender, less tough and chewy. Customer service was good, a little hesitant on their side when it was time to pay. I also purchased wings. They didn’t have the correct pricing for my wings, in their system, so they had to make some adjustments while I was trying to pay.

I’ve tasted many Carribean spots. This is top 3 around the metro Atlanta area. The jerk chicken is excellent. The customer service was good tonight.

We popped in on a Thursday night. Portia’s are great. Cabbage was savory and not too soft and the portions were excellent for the price.

I gave a 3 star because the taste was delicious. However the cabbage was too crunchy basically raw cabbage. The curry chicken was very small broken / chopped up pieces of chicken. More bone than meat. Not to mention the curry chicken was cold. I decided to get my meal there, the owner was sitting in the next table. He looked at me and asked me how was the meal, I took two bites and the chicken was cold. And he was eating the same thing because before I got my meal he was fixing himself a plate. So I was like I will have curry chicken. I know he knew the chicken was cold perhaps his steam table isn’t working properly, Th rice could have been steamed a little longer. Oh well I wish I checked out their google ratings. It appears they are very good at apologizing.

Been looking for a good Patty on the south side. They were fire both the chicken and the beef will return.

The jerk chicken is amazing. Especially with added jerk sauce on the side. The chicken falls off the bone and the flavors are soo good. I definitely recommend.

Awesome food in the cut, next to the drop off center at Good Will. Don't hoard, pass down the wealth. Back to the food. I had the dinner meal of Jerk Chicken, cabbage with, homemade jerk sauce, rice and peas on the side with Oxtail Gravy. How the kids say : bussin ,the food is deliciously bussin. ?

Parking: Busy, but worth the stop.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes the restaurant is ground level. No excuses go eat!

The Staff is Very Friendly but the Food Lacks Flavor and tenderness. My Oxtails were tough, peas and rice sticky and dry, cabbage hard, mac n cheese just not good. Curry Chicken not good. No authentic flavors at All!! If you are looking for Jamaican Do not go there.

Nothing like a family own restaurant who makes your food fresh everyday. Their food reminded me of home and I loved everything down to the beef patty! This the only place in GA you need to go for REAL JAMAICAN FOOD!

Also you can have your menu in store match what you charge on the receipt.

The greating was not welcoming at all. It seemed as if everything I tried to order. They were out of jerk chicken curry chicken. The young lady seemed a little frustrated because I didn't know what else I wanted. I ended up one with the Turkey wings, which I really don't think they were really turkey wings. Whatever they were, they were really tender and good. The cabbage was just okay. I ordered a piece of fried fish, That fish taste it like John Tupman bootstrap. It was so tough. I don't think that I will return. I probably wouldn't recommend to my friends
