First time customer but it certainly wont be my last. I got the beef tips and they were perfection. My only complaint is that I wanted to try everything but they only serve meat by the plates. Please add a meat sample option for greedy people such as myself đ

First off Iâm typing this half way through my plate. This food is amazing and sometimes I get scared trying soul food places because they just never quite get it right, but honey this place hit the nail on the head. My husband got the turkey wings and could barely pick it up because it was falling off the bone. And my fave was the candy yams. I always feel like that my pet peeve with soul food places but these tasted like how I like them. Thank you
So much for the great service and food will be returning soon

Ok. let me start by saying that the food wasn't worth 50 dollars for two people. We both had chicken dinners that came with two sides and cornbread. One soda, 1 peach cobbler, and 1 side of black eyed peas. Very disappointed because I really wanted some real soul food. Don't know where to start. BBQ chicken was ok, cornbread was awful, mac and cheese was dry, green bean was ok. The peach cobbler was $5 and they only give you a very small portion. Then it wasn't good. I really try to support my people, but some of them want to pinch or just make sure the togo container section only need one scoop. That was my first time and my last. I give it a 2 out of 5

Food is def not good. No seasoning at all on the food. Just cooked food. Thatâs not soul food. Tried on many occasions to give them a chance and itâs just not it.

When I first came in the vibe was off. The Rib tips werenât all that. The sauce was very thick. The Mac was disgusting it had no seasoning other than black pepper and cheese. The cake is very dry. Alongside with that is the ribs not being tender.

This place should be named Grandpaâs Big Toe because thatâs the quality of food youâre getting here. The collard greens tasted like water. The barbecue chicken didnât have much barbecue sauce or flavor. The beef tips were unnecessarily smothered in a bland brown sauce. This is my first time visiting a Southern Soul Food restaurant, and the food tasted like some Midwest rural crap.

Apologies I couldnât even think about a picture because I was picking thru it and barely ate. Grannyâs has def changed since we first started going. He made a comment that no women worked there anymore and I laughed and said ok the men are handling business. Well bring the women back cuz the seasoning and care went out the door with them. Almost $60 for dinner and the garbage ate more of my food than I did. I hate complaining about my ppl and their business but we tend to get relaxed and stop caring about quality. I had fried chicken( had feathers throughout the chicken). I couldnât eat chicken with feathers because now that tells me the chicken came straight out the box into the bowl to be seasoned. I knew the Mac n cheese looked off but he said the pan was fresh. It was unseasoned and no cheese in the dish(just piled on top). Black eyed peas hold water so please season them things and the cabbage Omgosh not a bit of seasoning. This is my first time being disappointed and now I never want to go back. I know my one review wonât change a thing but one day just like all of the other businesses that are gone, this one can one day be of the same if yaâll donât start listening to that one bad review and trying to alter things. Thatâs too much money for food and I didnât get to enjoy it. Do better ppl. I oh and my husbands sweet potatoes were just peeled yams(not syrup in sight). Which means not prepared. Just peeled and threw some sugar on them.

2nd time going. The first time the food did not look appetizing and the vibe was off, so I walked out. I decided to try again months later, the same. The food presentation looks as if it's sitting water, not Granny's cooking and staff look overly aggressive for a sale. I decided just to get a couple slices of cake. The cake look good, but was dry, the kids would not eat it. It didn't taste homemade either more like box cake. Such a disappointment.

I must say, I was impressed with the food! I should of taken a picture, but I will be back and will take one then. I just had collard greens, green beans and beef stew, took me back to the good old days with my mom's great cooking! It was a little costly, but that's the new norm now.
